No reports of damage
No tsunami

The USGS said the quake's epicenter was 104 km (64 miles) south-southeast of Ugashik and 61.7 km deep.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said that based on its available data, no tsunami was expected.
The USGS said the quake had a low likelihood of causing casualties and damage, and there were no immediate reports of such.

I really feel like I'm missing out. I've been waiting for about a year to feel another good EQ and this thing happens around four hundred miles from me an hour ago and I didn't feel a thing.

Crazy, I guess that's lucky.

Yes you're lucky.

Now where did I read on here about a west coast quake prediction? I'll look through my posts

Are there Volcanoes near there? I think it's a volcano chain

There's volcanoes alright. I live near one of them. Not too sure how far the epicenter is from any of them though. Here's a map of volcanoes in AK

Somewhat related, a volcano erupted in Japan today too

There are several volcanoes near this quake, but given the depth and epicenter location, I can just about guarantee this had nothing to do with the volcanoes and is a subduction zone quake. And they just reduced it down to 6.7- which I more agree with given that I am looking at the raw seismic data and saw it come in. 7.0 was a bit ambitious. I estimated 6.4 to 6.6. Several small aftershocks have happened, and would make this seem to NOT be any kind of foreshock. But you never know...

Curiously, Yellowstone barked back up a couple of local small quakes soon after those waves went through the park. I've seen this happen before with Alaska quakes. Something about them seems to make Yellowstone fidgety. But all is calm now.... for the moment.

Thanks TA

But where is it saying 6.7? It came up as 6.8 originally, then updated to 7.0 . I just checked USGS and see the 7.0

EDIT
Nevermind I'm seeing 6.7 now
Thanks

Check it again, and refresh the page. It's a 6.7.

OMG. They KILLED my avatar. I can't find it, it's gone.
