LONDON (Reuters) - Magnetic bracelets can help to ease the pain of osteoarthritis of the hip and knee, British researchers said on Friday.

In a study of nearly 200 sufferers of the joint disease, patients who wore a standard-strength magnetic bracelet reported having less pain than those who wore weaker or non-magnetic bracelets for 12 weeks.

We found evidence of a beneficial effect of magnetic wrist bracelets on the pain of osteoarthritis of the hip and knee," Professor Edzard Ernst, of the Peninsula Medical School in Plymouth, southern England, said in a report in the British Medical Journal.

Well after years of seeing commercials on tv that sell magnetic bracelets and such it has finally come out that they actually do work to some degree. Those that suffer from these ailements can use any help in releaving the pain and using a magnetic bracelet rather then drugs is a much better course of action for those that do not have a great need for drugs.

With home remedies like these that are starting to be proved they do actually work, it makes you wonder what kinds of treatments they will come up with that start to get away from the drug side and into treatments that are less mainstream.
