Police: To Protect and Serve... Pizza?

Last week, an officer in Oswego, Ill. stopped a pizza delivery man for driving through a parking lot to avoid going through a red light, according to the Village of Oswego Police’s Facebook page. During the routine stop, the officer discovered drug paraphernalia in the car.

Apparently this Illinois officer went beyond what is normally required of him. Instead of leaving the pizza to go to waste in the car, he delivered the pizza to the address on the receipt. Once again, another example of a great officer.


I can't help but wonder whether the officer got a tip.

"I'm sorry ma'am...there were only 7 pieces instead of 8...honest!"

The LEO probably used the pizza as an excuse to unlawfully enter and search the residence.

That pipe was for smoking oregano. The bag of oregano was in case the people wanted extra spices.

The tip was probably "That was my favorite express weed delivery!"

But I doubt the officer got that pizza to the house in under an hour. Free Pizza!

Better a cold pizza than having paid and getting no pizza.
