Not sure if this is the correct forum category to post this, but.............

10/21/2014 - ELMIRA, NY (WENY) -- We're on the scene at 415 Walnut Street in Elmira, where we're told New York State Police and Elmira Police are assisting the Secret Service execute a search warrant at a home. Authorities are reportedly investigating a threat made against President Barack Obama. Neighbors have been evacuated from their homes, and police on scene are also seen in and around the home removing items and wearing surgical masks. - See more at: www.weny.com...

Eye witnesses report, as seen in one of the above photo's, Police entering the home wearing "surgical" masks. Hmm, what's up with that? Fear of Ebola or maybe a white powder? Who knows.

Awaiting more information......

It appears he should worry less about Obama and more about home maintenance.

His company probably laid him off because they couldn't afford workers after Obamacare came through. So he's probably angry he didn't get complimentary Obamaroof services like illegals enjoy

I wonder if it was internet slander? People post things on the internet with no intention of ever carrying them out. Or do they suspect he is making a dirty bomb for Obama of some kind. This will be interesting to hear just what kind of threat the person in interest made or did.

Internet slander? Well then all the people who said things about Bush oughta be locked up in the interest of public safety.

Why the hell does this puppet enjoy constant protection, media favoritism while the rest of them were made horse's asses or elephant's asses? Hypocrites in this country....

Looks like Cuomo's henchmen are on scene, so all is in good hands. End sarcasm.

UPDATE AS OF 3:00pm EST:

Law enforcement have canines with them and have taken a computer, and several guns out of the house. Elmira Police are questioning the man who lives at the home. When authorities came into contact with him, he had nine knives in his pockets. Neighbors on the 400 block of Walnut Street were told to evacuate with no warning around 10 a.m. Elmira Code Enforcement posted a notice early this afternoon on the home that no one can stay there.

SOURCE...

The Secret Service is conducting an investigation at home on Walnut Street in Elmira this morning after someone allegedly made a threat against President Obama. The house being searched is at 415 Walnut St. Sheila Shipps, who lives at 413 Walnut St. said she was told to evacuate her home around 9:30 this morning. She said she had only moved in a few weeks ago and doesn't know the neighbors at 415 Walnut. Shipps said she saw officials remove long guns from the home. You forgot an election coming up and Cuomo (HATE spelling his name right) is not looking good in the polls. Good eye on the (un)safe act though...

Cuomo's helped hold this state back for so long. Him and his father. For one, he restricted the medical marijuana program to the point of criminality. While he probably goes home and gets so stoned he forgets what he has for a head.

I lived in this area for the first 30 years of my life and it does not surprise me that someone from there has gone off the rez. It is such an economically depressed area with little hope for improvement, with brutal, depressing winters that create crappy roads that seldom get repaired. Add to that all the socialists running the state that get elected by NYC urban socialists, taking tax money from all NY State residents and blowing it on NYC welfare queens. I got out of there over 20 years ago and have not been back in 12 years.

Another mom's basement raid? Speculation of an internet threat I see. They better be careful bagging up them Cheetos and empty Mt Dew cans.

I actually live a few blocks down Walnut. I drove through this about 9:30am. These houses as you drive by strike an eerie feeling, as do many parts of Elmira. I heard there were home made weapons such as spears found. They condemned the home calling it uninhabitable and that it was unsanitary. I've also heard that the adults were mentally unstable and have an autistic child. My brother visited me a while back from Cali and was pulled over on one of the side streets headed home. The cops freaked on him asking him what he was doing in that part of the neighborhood (he took the wrong street). There was a shooting just before he had passed through there and they warned him that isn't a street he would be safe on.

At this point, local news media is keeping those details on the down low, of course. I've got my ear to the ground though....if ANYTHING more comes out of this, ATS will hear it from me first.

As I suspected would happen, the information stream about this has shut down. The local media has stopped talking about this. Almost as if they were told, "Nothing to see here, move along".

But, if I do hear any thing further, I will post it here. And that's a BIG "if" at this point.
