Very odd clip.

Russian scientists back in 1940 reanimates a dog heart and lungs to function out side of the body. They even keep a dog's head alive. Video shows what looks like an isolated eskie dog head responding to touch, licking it's nose, moving its ears. In my opinion, it was staged as part of the cold war efforts against the US. The dog was probably fine. It is very cool to see the lungs expand and collapsing out side of the body.

Very cruel but also interesting.
What does a brain need to live, oxygenated blood and electricity? Imagine what the Nazi doctors were doing, human centipedes wouldn't be to much of a stretch. Just plain freaky

I'm sorry....as interesting as this might be it's torture!

It's one thing to experiment with orgams of a dead animals but another thing all together to maintain conscienceness and pain receptiveness in a disembodied head. Imagine the horror this dog must have felt!

I'm all for science but this does not seem ethical no matter what you are trying to achieve.

Peace
