I'm on my iPhone so forgive this muted post but I want to bring this to ATS. Apparently, Ebola and Mers aren't the only viruses that we need to worry about.

Can't post a quote with my iPhone but it's a very short read. I had an argument with another poster here on Ats about viruses recently where I predicted an increase in viruses and their potency as the environment warms. Unfortunately, I feel vindicated by this news. What says Ats

Some of the oncoviruses are causing us a lot of problems in this country.

This one seems kind of pertinent to what I am seeing out there. en.wikipedia.org...

I was thinking of starting my own Thread on this.

Go here and you will see clearly where, when and how many with an upto date Map of cases of all diseases being reported.

It is pretty scary when you see it like this. I can't embed the map here so you have to go to the site.

Managed to get a copy of the reported cases from the last week alone.

This just confirms to me that Ebola, while it may be bad, is hardly the only threat. And for the same reason, it's not worth getting super worried about, because there's half a dozen thousand other viruses out there competing for us, and we're still alive.

Here (Puerto Rico) right now at least we're having an almost outbreak of chikingunya with more than 2,500 cases and 1,500 suspected cases and is well documented over the news
