An American Hero.

Jesse Owens roommate during the Berlin Olympics.

Louis Zamperini died at age 97 on Friday, July Fourth.

After his bomber was shot down in the Pacific, he spent 47 days on a life raft, before being captured and spending an additional two years as POW in a Japanese prisoner of war camp.

A great athlete. A brave man. Gave up skateboarding at age 80.

To think there are stories out there that are just as remarkable that will go unheralded as this generation passes into history.

Rest In Peace, sir.

The book you want to read is unbroken he was an incredible guy. A real american war hero, and as determined as anyone on the planet. Absolutely a great book couldn't recommend it higher.
