Protests supportive of opposition leader Viktor Yushchenko have broken through a fence surrounding the parliament building today. The group filled in around the door to the parliament chamber following the failure of the body to debate a no confidence vote. Shouts of "Yushchenko, Yushchenko!" were heard as the crowd pushed foreword. The Speaker appealed for calm and pleaded with them to not storm the parliament.

UPDATE: Police Expel Protestors, Yushchenko Urges Calm
The protestors that attempted to swarm the Ukrainian parliament building were eventually expelled by police. The leader of the opposition Yushchenko apeared outside to calm the protestors.

(CNN) -- Ukrainian opposition supporters tried to enter parliament after lawmakers seemed to cool on their support for efforts to overturn the results of the allegedly fraudulent presidential election.

The country's most senior judges also resumed hearings on Tuesday into claims by the Western-leaning opposition leader Viktor Yushchenko that the election was stolen from him by widespread ballot fraud.
Demonstrators watching proceedings on TV screens outside the building were angry when parliament tentatively passed a measure that would have annulled Saturday's nonbinding decision to declare the November 21 run-off election invalid.

Some protesters got into the lobby of the building before police ejected them. Yushchenko also came out to calm down the demonstrators.
Parliamentary Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn adjourned the session until Wednesday, telling the protesters, according to The Associated Press, a decision would be taken Wednesday that "would satisfy of all of Ukraine." Earlier, a Russian mediator had warned of possible violence sparked by the election chaos.

KIEV, Ukraine Nov 30, 2004, AP ? Supporters of Ukraine's opposition leader have broken off compromise talks with the declared winner of last week's disputed presidential vote.

Yushchenko and Western nations, including the United States, say the election was marred by massive fraud.

Like I wrote from the beginning :
- the last thing that Yuschenko wants is new elections. Let's see to what lengths he now will go to start a civil war.
- for NATO this is the end game.

Ukraine Rivals Reach Compromise Deal

IEV, Ukraine - Ukraine's opposition leader Viktor Yushchenko signed a deal Wednesday that obliged his supporters to lift their siege of government buildings, but he said his supporters will stay on the streets until a deal is reached on a new vote.

I hope this is beginning of peaceful compromise. I'm curious when they decide to create another elections? For the sake of Ukrainian people this should be done as soon as possible...
