Russia only understands strength, we should start flying bombers along the border. Move more military ships, sub into the area. One way or the other this will either end or we are at war. Lets stop procrastinating the inevitable.

Yea sure war sux but living in fear of war is not worth living at all. Fear is the worse thing.

"Russia only understands strength"

Thats OK because the USA thinks "Might is right" but maybe you can remind me again about who won WWII and please don't say the french resistance because France was on the side of the Germans during a good part of the war and that's why the British sank their ships

May I ask if you are an american because if so then don't you think that you should fight this war in your own back garden and not over here in Europe. We "the people" didn't ask you to stay here 70 years after the last war ended and such is the propaganda that most people in Europe are not even aware of the hundreds of US military bases all over the place.

I wasnt aware of War Mongers on ATS as of Recent i guess it must be due after playing battlefield 3 or 4 where you then have fantasies on either going to war with Russia, China while playing as the USA.

As for your post Skorpy thats a hell sure way of starting your most wanted end of the world scenario and if America starts flying fortress the B2s along the border with Russia and sending more naval combat units into the black sea.

America, NATO will be seen as the aggressors not Russia.

Yea sure war sux but living in fear of war is not worth living at all.

You have no idea what war is like. Its for an American like you to suggest such war mongering point of views because you haven't seen nor tasted the real blood of whats it like in a war zone.

It seems the American news media has done a poorly job at that.

Sounds very much to me like it's Putin who is playing international chess.

He knows damn well what to expect from the West after his actions.

Russia are the aggressors here, NATO is just responding defensively.

It's Russia acting defensively.... NATO are the aggressors. Russian planes aren't in Mexico, Canada, Scotland or France are they?

NATO has done the dirty by encroaching on Russia after the end of the Cold War. A deed that has not gone unnoticed by some in our brainwashed society.

When Russia stations planes in Glasgow or Toronto then don't be surprised as it's a fair response to the Wests actions.

When Iran is given ICBMs by Moscow don't be surprised

Eye for an eye

Reason - I'm not a self hating Brit, I think we are a pretty fair bunch (these days), just don't like the way NATO is killing people in the ME and taking the piss with Russia by encircling its borders

Ah my friend, I am far from a warmonger. In fact I can't stand the thought of war, however, being american, I was raise to never live in fear.

In fact my family has been a victim of almost every recent war this world has endured. In the late 30's and early 40's my family escaped Hitlers Tyranny.

Once in america, my family was involved in ww2 against Hitler and then fortunately we missed the Korean war, however my dad was a poor soul in the Vietnam war then later myself under desert storm.

But to allow a foe to tower over you and use fear is not and will never be tolerated. Yes the U.S. is just as bad, but at least we have the illusion of Liberty.

Maybe I would think different if the U.S. mainland was a battlefield like Europe, but my family was fortunate enough to escape that horror. But I will stand by my former statement, living in fear will not be tolerated in my family no matter where we are located on this wonderful planet. To fight and die would be better to cower in fear.

it seems to me like you actually CAN "stand the thought of war" as your previous post is basically saying you would better have "war" than to live "in fear"...

It's the principle of the matter. Would you rather live and cower in fear or would you stand up for what you believe in?

Everything you state including the tone is identical to the rhetoric coming out of Russia. Sorry, but you have absolutely no credibility whilst you sound like a Russian ambassador. One minor point to consider when you continue with the Russian rhetoric. The so called "fascists in Kiev" are the remains of the government that Yanukovych left behind. In fact the current stand in president was the prime minister under Yanukovych....so when did Turchynov become a facist before or after Yanukovych fled to Russia? If Turchynov (and all other MP's) were facists under Yanukovych why didn't we hear about this from either the western media OR the Russian media at that time ? How convenient that everyone became facist at the same time Russia annexed Crimea.

Mind numbingly obvious BS to all except those with "I love Putin" tattooed on their forehead.

NATO has been most reserved in their response, you cannot accuse them of being gun-ho. They have left the economic reality of an inter dependant trading world take it's toll on Russia. Something even China understands these days !!!! I would not be at all suprised if the western economies are busy trying to source an alternate energy supplier for gas and then drop Gazprom as a supplier. Putin will definitely spit the dummy then.....

Im no Putin fan.... I just read the facts and opinions coming in all directions to formulate my thoughts on the matter. I would hope you are capable of thinking for yourself instead of attacking others for theirs. If those in power are facsist and were fascist before that's fine, but it still doesn't alleviate the fact that they are illegally placed and the coupe was backed by the west.

Why don't you ask some Ukrainians if Russia has been acting defensively, it's their country after all that has been invaded.

Don't talk nonsense.

Aw, poor little Russia!

Poor little 6.5 million square miles in area Russia, the biggest country on the planet by a country mile.

Perhaps we should dig a moat - how wide do you think? 500miles? A thousand? - so Russia can feel safe again?

Oy gevalt.

I don't even think they care what the people think anymore so long as they can find one puppet (Half the time you have never even herd there names before) to stand up on TV and say what they have just been paid to say.

Obama uses a script when he talks and the camera tries to hide the fact that he's talking from behind bullet proof glass but Mr Putin has no glass, no scripts so who are you going to beleive.

I must had been out when they sent me my voting papers on attacking a country that has nukes and has invaded no one

You're hilarious. I guess you missed the part of history the rest of us all witnessed where russia rolled in en masse BEFORE the referendum. But whatever. I can see their reasons, and I can even see how they were provoked.

Unlike you, I can't see how they have the balls to be making demands of NATO after the stunt they just pulled.

Those troops has been in Crimea for years and the "invasion" was nothing but western propaganda.

"principles" are often used to get people to fight wars.
after the war, people often realize that "principles" they were fighting for are just emotional charge and that were being used by some higher power.

I'm with you on this. Russia can have Crimea. The circumstances and the "referendum" were pretty dodgy, but even without it, most Crimeans are Russian, and thus, have a right to decide they want to be part of Russia. So, that part doesn't really bother me. I also find the new government in the Ukraine to be dodgy as well.

However, Russia is taking the mick. They have Crimea, which is the only legit claim here. They sure as hell have no business marching into the rest of the Ukraine, let alone other former Soviet Republics.

NATO's response has been a bit slow, but remember, the majority of NATO forces are U.S., and the U.S. military in Europe has been reduced to very low numbers. NATO certainly couldn't just march into the Ukraine without a formal invite. They aren't Russia, after all.

If Russia goes into Ukraine then NATO need not pull any military strings. Economic sanctions will be good enough. Russian leadership does not understand that internal mismanagement, corruption and Tsarist ways of running country is not at all long term. They better focus inside the house rather than worrying about Russians in other republics.

Even today world has to be very careful of three C factors: Commies (NEO or Modified Commies, Sweeden style socialists) and Caliphiates of Islam and Cleptocrats in all big and small nations. These three forces want the whole world to be under their boot.

Even western nations are under the influence of Cleptocrats who are aka the NEOCONs i.e Soros, Rothchilds etc. They influence the society via both business and politics and all the while filling their pockets. They push nations to overspend so that people buy the products of their companies and make them rich. Government go bankrupt which eventually means common people lose their net worths when currencies take a hit. Cleptocrats maintain their hold on resources and production and come out ahead......stronger and having more share of society's ownership.

At least the NATO supporters arent hiding, by the way you two, your beloved NATO has failed and ruined afghanistan completely.

But my understanding is that Afghanistan was not a NATO operation. It was an alliance of British, American and a few other nations in response to 9/11 (putting aside the conspiracy theories about 9/11 for the moment and I say that with the deepest respect).
