How can I retrieve an item that has been deleted?

I had done a mail merge, creating a mailing list, saved it in Word
and someone has deleted it...

I tried a search of all files, by right clicking on Start to search.

Is there any way to retrieve it???
Thanks in advance.

TuneUp Utilities 2003 has recovery as one of its features, I used it and it works pretty good. Aslong as you havent written over the deleted file, you should be all right.

I thank you!
But it's not my computer, so I am not able to download any other programs.
Is there any other way to retrieve it?

Unless there was a system restore with that file in it, your out of luck. Theres nothing in Windows that will allow you to get the deleted file, you need need a special program. Why cant you just install it, and uninstlal afterwards?
