Plesiosaurian Swimming techniques

At the SVP meeting in Denver, one of the lectures was on plesiosaurs and their swimming ablilities. Specifically, they wanted to see how well they swim and what mode of swimming they use (it, do they move their fins like oars, in circles, or like penguins or what?). They did some analyses of the limb structure and freedom of movement, and then, just to keep things interesting, they recreated four plesiosaur fins, strapped them onto to peoples arms, and tied these two people together in a pool and had them flap around. here is a link for it
