One of the best modern andean music in my opinion, pretty sure most of you didn't know them.

ALBORADA is a group founded in 1984 by Sixto Aybar in Ocobamba, Peru. Many of their songs are sung in Quechua. Enjoy.

Thanks for sharing. I was moved by the first song. Even though I dont understand what he is singing I had a feeling they were sad lyrics.Burying sadness in joyful music.

I really like that - my experince of Andean music has been somewhat more traditional...always loved these guys

That's a great group too, thanks for adding that video.

Another great group is "Los Jaivas", let me offer this video for those who are not familiar with them, but like andean music.

The concert took place in Macchu Picchu, lyrics based in the poems of Pablo Neruda. On top of that, the host is Mario Vargas Llosa (Nobel Prize in Literature).
