Top Hamas Leader Wants to be "Martyred" in Gaza during Hamas Celebration

I can only pray to God that Hamas isn't stupid enough to celebrate this week by breaking a ceasefire with Israel and somehow blaming this on Israel for wanting to kill another top Hamas leader.

Top Hamas leader, Khaled Meshaal, is visiting Gaza for the very first time since he was a child. He has been the top leader of Hamas since 2004. Hamas' original headquarters was in Damascus until the Syrian uprising and now they have moved it to Qatar. (So be leery of any information coming out of Qatar regarding the new Syrian Opposition Coalition that was recently created and being head up by "businessmen" from Qatar.)

More on the "celebration" taking place...

Saturday’s rally is not being held on the exact date of Hamas’s founding, but on the 25th anniversary of the start of the first Palestinian uprising, or intifada, against Israel.

Here are quotes coming from Mashaal in the last couple of days...

“I hope God will make me a martyr on the land of Palestine in Gaza,” he said on seeing it.

“There is a new Arab presence, there is a different kind of support,” Meshaal said last week.

That's right, the different kind of support is coming from all Muslim extremists to ban together, including the Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda to spread "political Islam" throughout the Middle East.

So, while Abbas is trying to create a Palestinian state, Meshaal and Hamas keep saying that they are working together with the Palestinian Authority, but are they really? More from Mashaal...

“We accepted (the idea), but not at the expense of recognizing Israel or giving away Palestinian rights, but as a common (Arab) factor,” he told Reuters last week.

Khaled Meshaal, the Hamas leader in exile, has rejected any concessions over a future Palestine state at a rally marking the 25th anniversary of the armed Palestinian group.

"Palestine is our land and nation from the [Mediterranean] sea to the [Jordan] river, from north to south, and we cannot cede an inch or any part of it," he said.

"We fight Zionists, not Jews. We fight whoever occupied our land, regardless of religion ... Statehood will be the fruit of resistance, not negotiations," Meshaal said to cheering fans.

Local Fatah leaders were due to attend the 25h annivesary celebrations, which would be the first time Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's faction has taken part in such an event since at least 2007, when it fought a brief civil war with Hamas in Gaza that was won by the latter.

Local Fatah leaders? Are there any Fatah members that are really considered "leaders" left in Gaza? I doubt it, they're probably better known as Fatah representatives.

There is a lot of support coming from the United Nations for Palestine at the moment and rightly so. Remember Hamas is the democratically elected party...

Do some research on the Gaza war that took place in 2007 between Fatah and Hamas and you'll find that Hamas was only elected into Parliament and then took over the rest of the government afterwards by force.

The problem is that the U.N. is only listening to Abbas and has no idea the extent of the split between his party and Hamas that Abbas isn't telling them. They only know what they've been told. Abbas knows he doesn't have a chance of reconciling Fatah and Hamas again, but he still tries to convince everyone otherwise.

I can only imagine what's going through Abbas' head after making these statements a few days ago...

"It is time to seriously deal with reconciliation and for contacts with Egypt's mediation for a reconciliation," Abbas was quoted as having said at a meeting of the PA leadership attended by Nassereddine al-Shaer, a Hamas deputy premier.

"We hope to agree on a meeting and a meeting of the leadership in Egypt in order to finish with this question which has gone on for too long," Abbas, who heads the rival Fatah party, said, according to AFP.

There is a lot of support coming from the United Nations for Palestine at the moment and rightly so. Remember Hamas is the democratically elected party...

and it'll be the only time the people of Gaza get to vote until Hamas are physically man handled out of their position of power.

Isn't that the truth?

There were supposed to be Palestinian elections in Gaza in July 2010 and Hamas keeps putting it off to try and stay in power.

In the meanwhile, it looks the leaders of the militant group, Islamic Jihad, have been refused entry into Gaza for Hamas' celebration. Let's hope!

Islamic Jihad was the militant group that shot rockets into Israel after the last ceasefire was negotiated between Hamas and Israel.

US officials exerted pressure on Egypt to prevent two senior Islamic Jihad officials from entering the Gaza Strip with Hamas’s political chief Khaled Mashaal, according to a report in the London-based pan-Arab daily Al-Hayat on Saturday.

The paper confirmed reports by Islamic Jihad, which said on Thursday that Israel had warned Egypt it would consider the three-week-old truce since Operation Pillar of Defense over if the terrorist group’s leader Ramadan Abdallah Shalah and his deputy, Ziad Nakhaleh, entered the Strip.

Israel also warned Egypt about permitting a third individual, Hamas official Saleh Al-Aruri, from joining Mashaal, who was making his first-ever trip to Gaza.

It's just a matter of time now before the Sunnis gang up on Iran....and blame it on Israel!!

Honestly, I'm surprised we haven't seen more propaganda trying to blame the situation in Syria on Israel too.

The number of Muslim extremist militant groups found there were too multiple in order to get anyone to believe it I'm guessing.
