US Cybersecurity Chief resigns citing Bush admin lack of interest

Bush may be announcing himself as the "security President" but his actions certainly don't back him up. After putting together an "office of Cybersecurity," the issue was apparently considered "solved." Yoran instituted a number of valuable programs (including one that emails virus alerts.)

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The government's cybersecurity chief has resigned after one year with the Department of Homeland Security, confiding to industry colleagues his frustration over what he considers a lack of attention paid to computer security issues within the agency.

I guess they'll wait until after some trojans get placed on sensitive computers to do something about computer security.

Just wait till some sensitive internal memos get posted on the net.
They'll take it seriously then.

If the big computer firms like Microsoft can get hit then the Whitehouse and other government agencies can also get hit.
