obama says not "too" many people are killed despite almost a third of the 3,000 killed (and growing #) being kids or civilians

excuse given for kids being killed (even Pak-American citizen kids) is because they are "associated" with terrorists.

(obama/admin are playing with rhetoric even in the statements - ie, they say associated, but mean look like or blood-related).

Shahzad Akbar, a Pakistani lawyer has been trying to not only sue the CIA on behalf of victims and their families in Pakistan, but also to come to the U.S. and speak about it. This includes talking about the signature strikes that the CIA is now pushing for in Yemen. But the U.S. won't give him a visa.

this made me cry,
how can people sit silently and watch as others die?

security is one thing,
taking up arms against a nation is never justifyed,

how can this be justifyed?

who in america can sit silently and not condem the deaths of innocents?

SILENCE IS CONCIDERED COMPLITICENCY

this sounds like a violation of human rights, is this a human rights violation?

what will happen when the USA has 30,000 dones flying overhead and it is your civilians dying at the hands of drone strikes?

how can you be part of the death of innocents?

Attacking and killing the enemy from a safe secure bunker half way around the world... Just seems wrong, they are taking away the risk of going to war...

Atleast when troops are at risk their is some outcry when we go to war, imagine once these drones can replace ground troops.

On certain other news sites, I've noticed a lot of people, mostly from ******* cheer on the deaths of people killed by drones.
Their usual response is that "those killed were potential terrorists".

Speaks a lot about these people.

I agree that drones take away any risk and possibly disconnect the user of them regarding their actions, they could be in some small shack half way around the world and dropping bombs on innocent people anywhere in the world, and never see the horrid results of their actions. Obama also wants 30,000 surveillance drones by 2020 to use to spy on Americans, they definitely seem to be the future.

to top it off, drone strikes are ILLEGAL per International Law including peace treaties that USA signed,

and now we have Obama still defending these illegal actions and setting the way for USA to break the very rules it once conceived or purported as inhumane while waging war on WOMDs in multiple countries - only to use illegal WOMDs upon them instead

a stark pattern:

- war on terror = us reigning ongoing war OF FEAR & TERROR upon the world

- war on nucleathermal/radiological proliferation = us war OF nucleothermal/radiological

- war on mass destruction = us war OF mass destruction

"people who are on a list...."

American citizens: assassinations by drive-bys, staged 'accidents', Induced heart attacks...

30,000 Drones being provided by Fed to local police depts, coming soon to a city near you:

780 civillians in Pakistan over 1,000,000,000 in Iraq....not to mention those thousands of thousands that die every single day as a direct result of starvation, environmental catastrophe and human traffiking around the world to sate US appetities for oil food and sex...

what do you care? its not in your back yard...right?

:/

Cost of 1 missile = cost of feeding an entire school of children for a year...how many mnissiles has the US got? You do the math....but dont be a hypocrite...imo, you sit and watch and say and do nothing....you're complicit.

Soooo exactly how many "9/11's" have we caused. If we take say ~3,000 people as being considered a "9/11," then how many have we caused? In Iraq, there were something like a million deaths caused at the hands of American forces. 1,000,000 murders / 3,000 = ~333 "9/11's" caused by our troops and government. That is just Iraq and that doesn't include the hundreds of thousands that are or will be affected by the depleted uranium dropped all over and especially in Fallujah. Unprecedented numbers of children are born with defects or not born at all due to miscarriages and still-births. Don't forget the cancer epidemics! Those numbers will continue to rise and forever considering U-238's half-life of millions of years. Who knows how many were killed in Afghanistan, Yemen, and...Just throw a dart at a map and the U.S. has probably bombed it. I like to think of the deaths/murders in terms of "9/11's" since everyone seemed to brag the "war" was about us getting revenge back in the day. Considering how lawless and pathetic my country is, this story comes as no shock.
