I was merely looking to read some conflicting argument on some topics which some may find controversial, it appears that, like at most things, I have failed.

Dear fairguy,

One area that might be satisfactory for you is any thread that explores the concept of "Freeman" or "Sovereign Citizen." People holding those positions get pretty adamant and persistent.

Possibly "Police Brutality" as it applies to OWS would meet your standards.

You can normally find a pretty lively discussion around the Bible. Or, find a thread with a headline that is critical of Muslims.

Also if you go to search and type 'socialism' you are bound to find some fights.

OWS vs Tea Party fights are good.

I don't believe you'll find any. If I read things right for how things work here, that is a large part of the Mod's jobs. I'll bet it's like herding cats at times for them, but it seems that must take a good part of their time. Good.

Debate is a great thing. Some might even say I thrive on it, personally. Conflict is a bad thing. That is ill mannered at best and hateful at worst. It's always personally hostile. That is one of the many things that differentiate ATS from other sites where it's the wild west for fighting in the threads.

Some of those other sites wouldn't have intelligent, educated and/or professional people posting timely and relevant information (as happens here daily) if they were the last sites on the net. The ability to debate without a fight is what draws me to ATS and I'm sure I'm far from being unique there.

Just my two cents and a wooden nickle. Take your pick.
