Is it just me?

I haven't been a member long, but it is starting to become apparent that some members do nothing but lurk around waiting to stir up someone and start bashing. Is it too much to ask for people to be civilized? I mean debating something and counter points are one thing, but when you start down a line of telling other people who they are or calling them liars is just not acceptable to me, and it should not be acceptable to ATS either!

is it just me or has the rant section been getting too many posts laterly

I have noticed a few passionate people on certain issues.

At least the bulk of ATS can spell.

That is head and shoulders above any other site I have been to.

When someone calls you a liar.....It's helpful if they can spell it.

ADD: Well, I spoke to soon...

1) people + civilized = oxymoron


2) can't handle the heat get outta the kitchen


3) accusing someone of lying makes them look back and verify there context


4) being accused of lying them coming back with reasona nd logic to counter them ... makes the accuser think twice about calling someone a liar


5) posts with merit , evidence , and clear cut points don't have to worry about the liars... only half ass posts leaving out crucial information need worry

You'll find members of that nature of any site like this, it's in the nature of a discussion website.

Nah, only joking! Yep, things get pretty rough here at times, but it is fun. So much wit comes out. I would rank it high in values though, even when rude it is quite clever. Great spelling as a rule, too.
