YOU are playing a video game, and your avatar is creeping into a haunted house at the dead of night. Suddenly, you freeze in your chair. Something is crawling up your back...

In other early tests, Israr and Poupyrev have simulated the sensation of raindrops running down skin by tracing a vertical line downwards. Israr describes skin as an unexplored display surface. "Two metres squared - that's the total area of our skin," he says. "It's a big area

The team is also working on a wearable device with vibrators in the sleeves and around the torso. Disney wants to develop systems that could augment the company's amusement park rides. Israr suggests that riders could experience the sensation of wind and rain sweeping over them, or insects crawling over their backs.."

Heads up.. Heads down..Heads up...Gamers.
Now i want to know where is the porno going to go

It combined with 3d and vibrators

art mann did a show, he was at adult con or some such,

Anyway, there are "interactive" sex toys available, that sync up with the movie, and i guess do similar things

the video game aspect could be quite interesting as well....but having to put something on might hinder the popularity.

I'm in full on, where do I sign up as a beta tester!

I have played a few games that gave me the creepy feeling just from the ambiance of the game but skin contact really could have set it over the edge.
Years back there was a game franchise called thief, the first 2 went almost unnoticed except for a few of us in a small online community.
That game had atmosphere, creeping around tombs, catacombs, castles all the while trying to stay out of sight of zombies or guards or religious fanatics.
I'm ready for this technology even more than smellovision!!!
Sign me up sargent!

They made 3 in all with rumors of a possible 4th.
I sure hope so as they were the kits mitts.
Sneaking and sapping some poor unsuspecting guard.
Good times, but we had an online community that wrote fan missions with the open source editor for the game.
Some fan works were comparable to actually better than studio works.
I never got to play assasins creed, I guess I will have to go get it now, I sure hope they have it for PC.

Wasn't this an X File?

Until a 'holo-deck' is produced, a controller will do just fine.

Still pretty cool though.

I like realism in the fantasy worlds I inhabit when gaming. With that desire in the fore of my mind, I can only say that if this idea takes off, then I cannot wait to actualy FEEL the arterial spray when I bisect my foes with an axe, or sense the impact of fragmented brain matter, bone and skin on my face when blowing thier heads appart with shotguns, the kick of the pistol, the jarring impact of a sword blow parried, and the stink and sweat and abbatoir reek of exposed, steaming entrails, the by product of a battle hard fought and well won.

Want this tech in my life pronto.

That would be pretty amazing if it was developed, the world of porn would explode (so to speak).

or i would find it.

I just imagined this type of technology put into a Silent Hill game, and I know that if such a thing happened, I would probably never sleep again.
