what country are you in? Might help to pin it down if we know where you heard it

for some reason Murray Head popped into my head, I know its not row row row your boat but its dreamy and there's a boat and a solo male....

At the risk of sounding crazy... how about Howard Jones' - Things Can Only Get Better. 80s sound, somewhat dreamy, not much in the way of guitars, kinda serious yet pop. And my crazy comes in with the chorus... could it sound like Row, row, row? Maybe if you were very young when you heard it and it just associated something you know to the whoa, whoa, whoa's in this song.

HoJo - Things Can Only Get Better

Yeah, it's a stretch. I'm guessing this is a little too popular to be it, but worth a shot. Any other clues if this isn't the one?

P.S. - I don't post very often so I hope I got the link right.

Versa, Geemoney, sorry, but noooo.
But darn it, I just love 80's tunes, so I truly enjoyed the Howard Jones linkage.
Star for that.

Versa: I live in Sweden, but the artist- if I remembers it correctly, was British, or MAYBE American.
Ah well, I will continue digging around and give you folks rest now.
But thanks EVERYONE, you have been truly fantastic.
This is ATS.
