You're right on a lot of points...Especially about the nature of media..

Here's another line of thought - there's a thread here www.abovetopsecret.com... which puts forward an interesting hypothesis about Gabrielle Giffords' attempted assassination - which, if there is any truth to it, might explain why there is such a media furore, nothing like a heated, nasty political skirmish to distract attention and create a smokescreen around other things. I'm always suspicious when there's a huge media frenzy about something.

It's not so much that it is surprising, just shockingly toxic and noxious.

I couldn't believe the level of hatred being displayed. Normally I dismiss hyperbole,
but this kind of hyperbole can stir up a lot of crap.

But, unlike a few democrats in congress, I don't want to shut down discussion about it.
