Internet Ad Bars - subliminal messaging ?

Hi

I just wanted to throw this out there as it is intriguing me I did some searching and couldn't find a similar thread.

When was the last time you clicked on a Advertisement Bar on a website page, I can probably think of a few but mostly by accident. They obviously serve a purpose as you cant help but view them, but was considering the possibility when we are browsing our chosen subject that these ads flashing peripherally are somehow impacting on our subconscious.

Just another worthless conspiracy maybe...
