What are you looking to learn about (wicca, high magick, ect.)

If magick, watch your butt (Crowley will get a neophyte hurt). You can get burned quick and easy.

Wicca? Starhawk, Cunningham, Buckland.

Stay away from silver ravenwolf and anyone pretty much published in the last ten years. Fuzzy bunny idiots.


Avoid OTO. Avoid any Groups like Church of Satan.

I am seeking to learn about the "Great work" and the "Great mysteries" in a view of attaining a higher state of being.

I hope that explains what I’m searching for.

I would recommend either Builders of the Adytum - New Zealand or Fraternitas L.V.X. Occulta.

I would have to disagree with the other poster about Crowley getting Neophytes into trouble. It's just that, in many cases, much of Crowley's work is too advanced for most beginners. There is nothing wrong, however, with beginners utilizing Crowley's Liber O, especially the Pentagram and Hexagram rituals.

As for O.T.O., it's basically a Crowley fan club. There's nothing wrong with it per se, but BOTA or FLO is a bit more serious-minded.

I have purchased the book by Isreal Regardie and have found it to be of the highest quality of information.

I have sent and email to the Fraternitas L.V.X. Occulta.
