Obviously my narcissistic brethren have looked first

Now, if we look at the last ring outwards, then at the second ring, a bit closer, you'll see at the upper left, is a small dot, note this, that on that small dot, a man is being murdered for apostasy.

Here Sagan, will describe to you, a beautiful view of the earth from the outside.

Now forget Jesus, the stars died, so that we can live.

Now that was a bit of a longer video.... ok, ok, maybe an hour plus, but still entertaining

Here is a striking photo, displayed over and over again on ATS, but still humbling.

Now, not to be mall-ish, but just for reference in one Galaxy but....

Now I'll be the first to say, I'm ignorant of Climate Change and the Rest, so I hold no personal beliefs, but I cannot agree that the below, is good or neutral for this dot.

Now, let's take a further look, at what this odd planet seems to be doing on the surface shall we

Well, either it be for religious reasons, or political, it's a bit 'mad' isn't it?

Here is one of the most well known and 'respected' persons in the USA, (well at least from who I've encountered).
Surprisingly enough, his music.... promotes drugs, rape, and murder, mostly at the same time....
Good Luck American Youth, You'll need it.
[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/0bc64efcab75.jpg[/atsimg]

Here we have hundreds upon hundreds of people who gave their lives to a man who 'had the answers' whilst knowingly hundreds less or more, were murdered for trying to stop it. A Cult. Jonestown.

Well, now that you've seen this small speck, and seen the sickness on it, I give the advice that elders, from as long as I can remember have said to me...... "When you enter a place, make sure it's better when you have left, then when you got there".

Great thread Republican.

I would rather change the title to "How to feel....ashamed", for most of the people reading this are most likely not "victims".

Star and Flag.

Peace

Nice thread, you are quite right...

Just a question, what happened in the last image? Were those the people who were murdered, or the ones who committed suicide?

How Not To Feel Ashamed.

Beautiful pics and great research.

Feeling ashamed is a negative feeling that detracts from all people. Animals do not feel shame, nor should they.

Feeling ashamed is a weapon contollers use.

I refuse to feel ashamed.

Yes, the money-grubbers who are ruining the earth should feel ashamed - but they won't, because they have no empathy.

Do not let anyone make you ashamed, unless it is yourself, in which case you might deserve it. But if your parents or anyone else instilled it in you, get rid of shame.

In contrast to all the negative images you have posted there is an equal if not greater amount of positive things in the world. One only needs to hold a baby in one's arms or look at the sunset to get started.

Am I ashamed of humanity? No.

Am I disappointed in SOME of humanity? Yes. But change is always possible.

The people in the image were suicides for the cult, but it isn't quite known, how many were forced to drink the poison or be shot, Jim Jones was an evil paranoid man, I just didn't want to say they were all stupid and killed themselves because quite a few wanted out, but couldn't.

That is a good way of dodging the resposibility but sadly it doesn't work that way. We are all in on it and we are all equally quilty. If not by the actions taken then by the actions not taken.

Just my humble opinion....

You might want to change it back to original title Republic if you don't want your thread derailed by these discussions.

Peace

Well, true.

But if we look at all the things, that we do have control over, we can motivate ourselves to change things, that otherwise could of been avoided.

I am not dodging responsibility, nor did I try and make a dodging reply.

All we can do is try and help others, and, I repeat, do not let people lay guilt upon you.

That is great!! So we are all innocent lambs except for a few "money-grubbers who are ruining the earth".....

Let's get rid of these guys then and live in peace and harmony......right?

Peace

Hmmm. I think that sort of thinking is a part of how we as a species got into this mess- Isn't that part of being a "grown-up"? taking responsibility for our actions and their repercussions? and if we mess up, trying to make it right? That's how I was raised but seriously not many my age or youngeer were, having children of the 60s as parents. The "insider" parent was laissez faire- do what thou wilt and regret not- such is your birthright. my other parent instilled the warrior spirit in me on honor dignity respect and truth, no matter what the other does. and if you do wrong, even by accident, fess up and make it right. and this was an avowed agnostic. This does not mean take on what ISN'T mine, but to fight (first in peaceful ways but then if those don't work, depending upon the harm...) tyranny and oppression from the neighborhood bully to the lying politico or corporate boss. It also does not mean take on shame for things that are natural (my body) or things done against my will. I do wish i'd learned the latter earlier.

and yes i feel shame now not because i've done anything wrong, but because i'm merely an eater and no longer a contributor. because unlike many in my generation and younger, I was also raised to be self sufficient and independent.

I'm not saying everyone needs to go to confession and start beating them self up about touching themselves in impure ways, but darnit- a good healthy dose of a sense of responsibility and touch of shame when we do wrong to ourselves or others is not so much to hope for...
