The protests throughout Europe continue to spread

BOLOGNA, Italy - Greek students continue to protest the police slaying of 15-year-old Alexandros Grigoropoulos and may soon topple the government through their actions.
Mr. Grigoropoulos' tragic death was the catalyst. As the protests have gained intensity, it has also become a metaphor for the state's indifference to the neglect of its youth

PARIS (AP) — Police arrested 38 people in the French city of Lyon on Thursday when a student protest against education reform turned violent, authorities said.
Education Minister Xavier Darcos promised consultations on the planned reform of the secondary school curriculum amid government fears that France could experience widespread protests like the ones that have rocked Greece in the past week
About 150,000 demonstrators across France hit the streets to protest the reforms, which include proposals to cut classroom hours and divide the school year into two semesters, the National Union of Secondary Schools (UNL) said. Police estimated the nationwide turnout at 127,000.

Put that in your pipe...

Say wha...?!

Obviously you know more than me....not!
You even jumped to conclusions just by reading a few parts of my actual opinion and thoughts.

Being a *SNIP* (vulgarity removed by Moderator) is your problem but acting like you know things better than me just because you support blindly this ludicrus way of thinking called "anarchy",because some of them are smart enough to alter their words to get more supporters is just insulting.

First of all,are you sure that you actually know what the media say?Are you 100% sure??Because all they do is encourage this situation.

About the police, are they ALL guilty? Are they? Those that deserve it should and must be punished but accusing ALL of them is just nonsense! That way of thinking can affect many situations of our dailly lives and it will only do that in a negative way.

Now,the most important thing. What's happening here will affect more or less which party will be the next one to become our government. The major parties are just two here just like in the U.S. (at least that's what i have seen so far happening in the U.S).
With the rest of the parties never having a chance to claim anything better both parties know they have at least a 50% of becoming the next government.
So,they can be as corrupted they want because the people will just vote for the other major party, that party will do the same things and the people will return to the party the begun with....!!!
(i could say even more things about this but it'll be just a bit harder to explain it to non-greeks.i think these are enough allready though)

So,to make my point now....burning,breaking and whatnot will NOT make a difference because things will stay the same and the two major parties will continue being the only ones claimming the "chair" which makes em more confident in being as much corrupted as they want.
In the other hand...a peacefull, big protest with target THE REST OF THE PEOPLE,telling them that the only solution is to FINALLY vote AN-ALTERNATIVE-PARTY would actually make a difference...!

With the things i've just typed i'm proving my point that the ones that cause all this damage (and there are students too among them) and the ones that support them are playing the politicians game and are too stupid to see it...!(though offcourse there are also the ones that go just for the hell of it etc) I can allready see what will happen next like a goddamn HQ,non-original,now-in-your-local-videostore movie...!
That's how much "awakened" the protesters are, that's how much "outside of the box" you are thinking and, finally,THIS is the average person around the world.

Other than that, all i did in my first post was to just comment on the posts of two speciffic users and i did say to "anonymous" that i don't like taking part in convo's about this subject.Either you just couldn't respect that for reasons unknown or you just saw it as the perfect chance to type a freaking text-wall and win on a debate.

And about my attitude,if there are any users around who have seen me posting before, they can tell you that most of the time i'm trying to be polite but there are certain individuals who just have to listen to things this way. You're one of them.
Still though, mods are welcome to delete this if they think they should.

Now...put this in your pipe...

Thanks for the video, it's on my disk, in case something happens to it.

PS: although I like to hear Greek, you should not write any other language besides English on ATS, it's one of the conditions, that is why I always write a translation when I write in other languages.

Here's a short video from the unrest in Malmö, Sweden. They don't connect it to the Greek riots, but I think it's a strange coincident that it should happen on that day (Dec 18). And add to this, the other riots in other European cities which are "not connected to the Greek riots". The Greek activists called for Europe-wide protests, and then there are suddenly several riots many places for "other reasons". I don't think so. The activists were also throwing stones at photographers and journalists, like they did in Denmark during the Copenhagen riots.

b]Malmo incidents

www.euronews.net... Youths in southern Sweden set fires and hurled rocks at police in unrest sparked by the closure of an Islamic cultural centre.

What would you expecting, that they threw roses?

Seriously, I think that the events are connected, in other occasions it has been noted that there is some organisation that "helps" this type of protests in Europe, someone that organises things and takes care of the logistic of transporting people to other countries, if needed.

My friend, you are right about the way you think about police. But, as a nation (i mean the people), learn that all these things go unpunished, you eventually act as they act because all this anger that you feel gets together inside you. It's wrong but this is the way things go.

I know the feeling my friend. I've been living in situations like that and I know and understand very well the anger and people's revolt. But watch out, don't let your self be manipulated by politics. Are the first to step in and take advantage. In your case the socialists and communists are the ones that are fueling the fire. It happened in my country (neighbors of yours) and trust me, it can happen in Greece too. They do it just for political gain and don't care about people and their rightful reasons for protesting.

Just my two cents.
