Bad "Intelligence" send US troops to Invade Iraq

news.yahoo.com

WASHINGTON – Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Sunday she regrets the U.S. relied on flawed intelligence as the basis for going to war in Iraq and took partial responsibility for mismanaging the post-invasion occupation.

As eight years of the Bush administration come to a close, the president and now one of his longest-serving advisers are acknowledging mistakes in Iraq while steadfastly defending the war and Saddam Hussein's overthrow.

After 8 Years, thousands of people kill and billions of dollars spend they finally admitted what most of us had already knew... that the war in Iraq had no grounds... incredible how they invaded a country without first making sure of their claims. but 8 years later they pointing fingers as whom to blame...

With the support of Congress, President George W. Bush ordered the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq in March 2003.

incredible how they, Congress, gave permission to invade a country without first making sure of their claims. but 8 years later they pointing fingers as whom to blame...

Just like Congress not to own up to their role in the Iraq War. President Bush wouldn't have been able to do anything if Congress had just said Hell NO.

The story is more complicated.. Iraq had WMD , but the problem was that the WMD were provided by the US! The sale of the WMD was against the international conventions for human rights and warfare, so US just wanted to use the opportunity to clean the mess..

Just go on Video Google and look for "in lies we thrust"

Bad intelligence, bad smanvalangence. Remember this little dilly?

Bush was absolutely certain he was on the right course on Iraq. The writer said that when Bush invited key Republicans to the White House to discuss Iraq, the president told them, 'I will not withdraw even if Laura and Barney are the only ones supporting me,"' referring to his wife and Scottish terrier. - Washington Post - Friday, September 29, 2006.

Let's embolden the most important line:

"I will not withdraw even if Laura and Barney are the only ones supporting me"

The person who decided to give this (I won't even say "man") a medal for international peace has got their butt as an extra set of shoulders.

now we must ask oursleves, was the intelligence supplied done so to justify a pre determined war,or was the war an act upon the intelligence supplied.

its pretty obvious the intelligence was supplied to justify a pre concieved war.

they wanted a war and they got it,and now im sure they regret it.so again it must be asked, who was fanning the calls for the war and lying to everyone else by pretending it was in the interest of national interest?.

it must be said if it were in the interests of national securty its been highly unsucsessful leading to a massive increase in the destablisation of countries, leading to the rise of islamic fundementalists attacks upon western targets.

it must be said i believe this was the original intent of the mAster"mInds",unseen to us,they are depopulating the planet and for them the iraq war was a masterstroke, dividing us along cultural, political and religious grounds,a rift they have been causing for a long time and one which will take a long time to heal.

There is a staggering difference between bad intelligence, and falsified intelligence.

You cannot say mistakenly relying on bad intelligence was an unfortunate event when

- Intelligence agencies told you the Intel was flawed
- CIA Spies told you there was no substance to uranium claims
- Saddam himself said there was nothing
- Saddam asked for DIALOGUE to clear the muddy waters
- the UN stated it hadn’t found anything

What’s left is a select few '' mainly PNAC players '' presenting intelligence.

Now, you don’t 'mistakenly' trust their intelligence over actual agencies, unless you want to be perceived as being wrong, not criminally accountable.

Flawed intelligence?

We (Canadian Intelligence, and many other world intelligence agencies) sent quite the number of warnings that the intelligence the US was holding was flawed, and relied solely on a few politically driven individuals with their own agendas.

Of course, they ignored us, and went ahead and stormed Iraq anyways, much to the protest of other nations.

And now they're coming out and saying "Oh, sorry, wasn't our fault, it was bad intel."

YES it WAS your fault. We TOLD YOU it was bad intel, and instead of investigating, you went to war!

And as such, the administration deserves to stand trial and face persecution for the number of lives lost due to their criminal incompetence (or corrupted disregard for human life).
You can't get out of murder that easily.
