So..

A two week deadline has been given before stricter sanctions are to be placed.

Eu fleets to practice 'blockading techniques'
www.abovetopsecret.com...

Not really Earth shattering in itself as far as current events go,but due to the news that Iraq has requested the removal of troops from their soil..a significant strategic launching point to Iran, then it paints a slightly more worrying picture..

That the West has a limited amount of time to utilize that strategic point before either losing it.. to remain diplomatic with Iraq..or showing their hand that they WILL NOT relinquish control back to the Iraq authorities.

It must be very frustrating for a Government that thought they held all the cards and was hoping for a pre-election jolly send-off.

I think it is getting VERY close to decision time BEFORE ties get too great with Iran,Russia,Cuba and Venezuela.

Somehow I think the low public support for an Iranian conflict will get even lower if there was a REAL risk of missiles landing on U.S shores.

Lets hope for some history-breaking common sense from a politician or two.

Here's a twist to another current story.
Rising(and lowering) Gas prices.

We all know that a war fleet uses a HUGE amount of oil.
What if the rising prices were a way to put fuel out of the reach of 'ordinary folk' to ensure a sufficient supply to the war machine in case it became a dangerously limited resource during conflict.

Well now it seems time is short to make the push for Iran, before its alliances become established and before it reaches confirmed nuclear superpower status.

Was the decision to start drilling made by GW recently actually a sign he has conceded defeat on the Iran issue..lowering prices before the west goes totally bust.

If so.. Could the action towards impeachment be a diplomatic 'get out of jail free card'..
Blaming the conflict and financial hardship all on one person, leaving a new president to make 'giant leaps' in fresh diplomatic negotiations with Iran.

Crazy nonsense?
