Iraq War Vet Jailed After Crossing Border for Breakfast

An American veteran of the Iraq War is being held in a notoriously dangerous prison in Juarez, Mexico, charged with carrying weapons over the border in his car.

Army Spc. Richard Raymond Medina Torres, on leave from his base at Fort Hood, Tex., was arrested in Juarez April 21 when he said he mistakenly crossed the border and found himself on the Mexican side of the Bridge of the Americas.

Sounds like he served and/or IS serving honorably, and OUR gov should
hurry down there to help him, it's only fair, since he helped our gov.

Besides, his guns were in the trunk of his car, it's not like he was 'packin'.

Making a U-turn, out of the crowded lines at the border, definitely gets
attention of the authorities, though...

It is unfortunate that he didn't have enough money to bribe the cops. The legal system in Mexico is so corrupt it makes ours look angelic in comparison.
