The 2004 elections had a number of inconsistencies that many have found to be quite questionable. Florida jumps into the mind of many, but in Ohio there were even more sinister occurrences. Ohio was a crucial state for the Republican party and there is very clear evidence that something quite serious was amiss.

Generally, the Ohio Secretary of State's website handles the election reporting, and in a normal situation all the voter data is directed to an Ohio based IP that is hosted by the Ohio Supercomputer Center. When you look at the data on Netcraft , you can see that the data was directed to a server owned by Smartech Corp. If you dig deeper and look at the American Registry on Internet Numbers, it shows that Smartech's block of IP addresses (64.203.96.0 – 64.203.111.255) is comprised of the entire range of addresses owned by the Republican National committee.

You may recall that it was Smartech which hosted the notorious gwb42.com domain that was used from the White House in violation of the Presidential Records Act, from which perhaps thousands of White house E-mails were deleted in the scandal, currently under investigation. Given this connection to Smartech hosting the Ohio Voter data instead of the Ohio Supercomputer Center, which was supposed to be the one collecting the information, serious questions arise about the validity of any election reporting that was done in Ohio regarding the final outcome.

What was the Republican National committee's IP host doing, collecting and reporting on the official vote outcome in Ohio??? Why wasn't it being done by the Ohio Supercomputer Center as it was supposed to be?

With Gonzales under fire, Rove involved in the WhiteHouse e-mail scandal, Cheney facing an impeachment motion, and the republicans having difficulty finding a strong candidate, I have to wonder if the house of cards they have built up, is finally starting to come apart. Bush has lost public support for his foreign policy, and his cadre can no longer prop him up effectively when they themselves are under scrutiny for their conduct.

With this evidence that points to Republican shenanigans in the last election, there is mounting concern for any future corruption of the democratic process.

Do you feel that your electronically entered vote, is being properly counted? Will it make a difference?
