Shortage of cancer doctors in coming years

news.yahoo.com

The United States is heading toward a major shortage of cancer doctors by 2020 as the population ages and the medical profession struggles to replace retiring oncologists, researchers said on Tuesday.
The study predicted a shortfall of 2,550 to 4,080 oncologists by 2020. The overall U.S. population and, most significantly, the proportion of older people are growing, along with the number of people who have survived a bout with cancer, the researchers noted.

We dont need cancer doctors as they cant cure any cancer.

1/2 A MILLION Americans die from cancer every year so whats the point of having useless doctors?

I cant believe anybody would want to become any kind of doctor. The education costs are outrageous. Insurance costs are outrageous. You finish school in your 20's and you have to spend the next 6 years or so working for chump change while paying down obscene loans then you spend like 20 years living off of debt working 24 hour shifts and still paying down these loans.

Then, maybe, if youre lucky, when your 50 and everyone else you know is retired you finally have the opportunity to work for a small practice 9-5 and can spend some of your money as you might have finished paying down your loans.

Its just not worth it. Unless you have some divine calling to be a healer its just not worth it.

Doctors are paid far too much as it is for churning out expensive useless palliatives.

All they do is churn out endless prescripions for painkillers.Pimps for Big Pharma.
A vending machine can do what these pill pushers do.
