I believe that we need a new kind of Mars probe.

Build a spacecraft that separates into a train of spacecraft as it nears Mars. The first one just a ball of cameras pointed at Mars and it's moons, transmitting data back to the mother ship. The second one a ball of cameras pointed at the first one. The third spacecraft, ditto, pointed at the second one.

The last one the mother ship, way back out of range, harvesting data from the sacrificial spacecraft, retransmitting it back to Earth.

Couldn't be a bigger waste of money than what we're doing now.

( In the world of motorcyclists, crash and burn is a generic term for failure, not a specific statement of fact. )

What a bummer. Mars should be renamed to 'the jinxed planet'.

I am so #ed off with that!

I have been really excited about these probes, there better not be anything happen to the others or I will be positive something is going on!

Something has to be changed! We can't afford to keep losing these probes like this. . .

A new design might be made, which would be good...hopefully.

Of course, we all know there are ETs that are shooting down the probes
