"We Want al-Sadr’s Head."

An alleged “follower of the jihad in the Land of Ribat (Palestine)” addressed a message to Abu Musab al-Zarqawi in a recent posting to a password-protected al-Qaeda affiliated forum, titled: “We Want al-Sadr’s Head, is There Someone Making an Effort?” The message lauds Zarqawi and wishes for “more jihad and sacrificing for the raising of the banner of monotheism and liberation of the lands of the Muslims,” besides praising Usama bin Laden and pledging loyalty to both leaders. Also, the author condemns Muqtada al-Sadr for his branding Zarqawi a “’criminal’ who should be brought to trial by Muslim judges.

Further, the author prays for Abu Musab al-Zarqawi to continue the jihad, inciting fear and executing striking the enemy, and states: “Jerusalem awaits you… If our love for you and for the fighters of jihad in the name of Allah is terrorism, then let the world and at its head the tyrants in the east and the west know that we are terrorists.”

Members replying to the message voice their sentiment akin to the author. One member states he is “at loss of words to describe your (Zarqawi’s) deeds,” another alleges to be from a Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon and adds his voice, and a third states that the mujahideen in the Land of Ribat (Palestine) “shall not stop until the law of Allah will be implemented not only in the Land of Ribat, but all around the world.”

Times must be getting pretty tough for Palestinian militants.
During Saddam's rule, the Palestinian militants, as with the Sunni Ba'athists, had grown increasingly accustomed to Saddam's verbal and financial support of their terrorist activities. The Shi'ite cleric, who at one time caused the Coalition some problems, has openly declared one of their benefactors, Zarqawi, a criminal and should be brought to trial in accordance to Islamic law and tradition.

Quite interesting.
Maybe they are pissed after Egypt backed Palestinian leader, Mahmoud Abbas, and then warned Hamas to abide by the ceasefire terms against Israel, and to refrain from carrying weapons in public?

Almost reads like a p ossible Palestinian internal civil war brewing: between Palestinian militants, Hamas, etc. and Abbas and Palestinian authorities/security forces.

I think you are correct about a internal Palestinian civil war. Funds definitly have been cut with terrorist funding being focused more to combat the War on Terror, Hence causing problems for the Palestinian militant groups which are now low on cash.

Its amazing how there are virtually no more suicide bombings in Israel since the invasion of Iraq occured.

No more money from Saddam. Like all failing businesses, when there is no more money the business partners start blaming each other and you have problems.

How soon do you think it will take before we see fighting among the groups if any at all?
