Nicola Sturgeon leaked video footage shows former FM knocking back concerns about SNP finances.


It's highly likely Sturgeon will be arrested given her husband and the SNP treasurer have been hauled in.

I’ve always said they’re a corrupt shower of power hungry criminals. Probably why she was trying to push through gender reforms, once the police discover her tadger she’ll be put in the mens prison system. Their party platform was entirely based on anti-English sentiment while their policies were guided by the highest bidder. Good riddance, I hope the entire party crumbles to dust.

There is a more general lesson to be learned here, which has nothing to do with the specific politics of left and right or one nation against another.

The lesson is that localised politics doesn't always serve as a corrective against corruption in big government. Only too often, it is the other way round. The point could be illustrated from many episodes in the history of the United States (simply because it is such a large country).

Former SNP treasurer Colin Beattie says he had no knowledge of the £100,000 Niesmann+Bischoff campervan allegedly purchased for SNP campaigning tours.

Asked if he knew about the vehicle purchase, Mr Beattie said: "No, I didn't know about it."

First minister Humza Yousaf recently told Sky News the state-of-the-art vehicle was an SNP asset and was part of the warrant list of items seized by police.

The long-running probe is linked to the spending of around £600,000 raised by supporters to be earmarked for Scottish independence campaigning.
It is understood there have been complaints the ringfenced cash has been used improperly by being spent elsewhere.
