You Sir? Are you not following the science of lockdowns. They are safe and effective but a little brutal just as the Guardian admits. It's a simple tactic: Nobody goes out unless they have permission. If anyone makes the mistake to go out without permission then immediate arrest and prison. If they can't arrest you and you try to escape then they shoot at you.

I dont understand why support lockdowns , or other crazy corona measures .

The real issue in China is pollution/toxicity , and people get sick from it. It does not matter what the silly fake covid test shows , and infact i think probably the test just show more positives when people are sick, from pollution.

Lockdowns work negative way to human health , people need physical exercise, sunshine ,social happenings ( seeing other humans ) . Add the negative impact of wearing mask ....

With this strategy , i doubt china can never return to pre-covid time , normalcy .

Are you not following the science?
Look at how the Chinese Authorities are handling the situation. Nobody is allowed out unless they have permission. If you don't have permission.and go out then you get immediately arrested, beaten up, and thrown to jail. If they can't arrest you then they will shoot at you.

Are all these wonderful epidemiological measures? In one of the greatest states and democracies in the world.

I wonder how many people have died in Chin due to Covid and hoe many have been infected. Surely nobody can believe that they have 5,232 deaths so far. Even with the smallest infection fatality rates. Put whatever number you want! Either 0.1% or even less than this.

Yes it's more then obvious they haven't given us real numbers but the western media have not picked up on this due to their complicity in supporting and promoting lockdowns as epidemiological measures.

The Guardian article I posted earlier says that lockdowns maybe brutal but are very effective. In the minds of the Guardian reporters at that time lockdowns could have stopped the transmission and infection significantly or even stop the pandemic altogether.

Hard to imagine. Here in Detroit yesterday, Thanksgiving 5k run, Thanksgiving Parade, Lions football game, Casinos....downtown was hoppin". Yes, maybe 15-20% masks by choice.

We've been back awhile and across in Windsor Ontario. Why...is China different?

PS And I said elsewhere here today Chinese medicine is 5,000 years old.

Normal life as we know it.

To be fair there are lockdowns and lockdowns.
China seems to be implementing a version that is in line with their political ideology of totalitarianism.

Not that riot, and I should of clarified that I meant the very, very first Covid lockdowns with the riots taking place back in late 2019 when it was first gaining attention. And that riot in the link isn’t a week old.

It not really a proper lockdown or quarantine without proper nuclear sterilization…can never be to sure an always safety first.

I see.

But the lockdowns haven't stopped as it seems in China and there is no hope that the Chinese authorities will abandon them anytime soon. As the matter of fact is a great tool for literally controlling the free movement of ordinary people who go about their everyday business.

I think China has only proven one thing.

Even the most oppressive, and abusive dictatorships cannot stop a virus.

Even with strict lockdowns, and forced "vaccinations"

You are quite right.
You can't stop a virus and there are only a few things you can do to reduce its transmission. It is then a matter of time until the virus spreads everywhere. You can oy delay the spread on some occasions. But the delay in this spread should not come at a great cost.

Police on Monday stopped and searched people at the sites of weekend protests in Shanghai and Beijing, after crowds there and in other Chinese cities demonstrated against stringent COVID-19 measures disrupting lives three years into the pandemic.

From the streets of several Chinese cities to dozens of university campuses, protesters made a show of civil disobedience unprecedented since leader Xi Jinping assumed power a decade ago. During his tenure, Xi has overseen the quashing of dissent and expansion of a high-tech social surveillance system that has made protest more difficult, and riskier

So...civil disobedience in China. Against the communist regime. Get ready for the camp training season!
