Since Canada placed tariffs on Russian fertilizer in March.
Imposed a 35% duty on imports of Russian fertilizers.
This had being hurting local Canadian Farmers more than it has being hurting Russians.

Since they imposed tariffs on Russian fertilizer in March.
This would be having an impact 2023 food supply.

This is also making a difficult situation for farmers,which before they had a equipment costs among other costs.

According to the newspaper, the chairman of the Association of grain producers of the Canadian province of Quebec, Christian Overbeck. Also had complained about the issue.

Trudeau and Liberals are very unlikely to remove the tariffs on Russian fertilizer any time soon.

It does make me seriously wonder what farmers used for fertilizer 50/60 years ago, before this ersatz fertilizer came into being? Were farmers producing enough food to feed the populace? Yes. Oh yeah, the "new" fertilizer produces more crops per hectare but it aint life threatening. What it is threatening is the monetary difference between a normal crop and an enhanced crop.
