People tend to think that a disarmed population is at the mercy of the government...

Most governments feel that if they disarm the people, and suppress them with a heavily armed police force and Army, they will be invincible..

Well...

Just ask Nicolae Ceaușescu if that is the case...

No tyrannical government, no matter how well armed, can stop a literal Tsunami of pissed off human beings.

If you shoot a lion with a BB Gun, your only going to piss it off more. If the Police / Army open fire on an already pissed off crowd, they will only make them madder. Bullets at this point are useless against such a frenzied opposing force and it won't end well for those pointing the guns and those giving them the orders.

This has been proven time and time again throughout history and yet, tyrants never get it..

Everything that is happening in Australia right now, will end up in Nuremburg trials Pt II, if the government keeps going down the path it is presently on.

I agree on that one as well. Once the riot police are in a scrum the batons and tear gas are useless. But if it got to that stage, the politicians would all be hanging from lamposts.
