Well considering the militia is led by the son of someone who fought the Soviets during their invasion, one would think it's highly unlikely.

However Russia still considers the taliban a terrorist organisation, so who knows.

Yeah it's been going on for a few days now with a number of districts recaptured - seems to be very strongly linked to Northern Alliance group who stopped al queda or the taliban in the area since the late 90s. They're a moderate group who've worked helped UK and US special forces since 2001.

Do you have the original link? It looks very interesting content but I'm worried about picking up a virus from the redirect/url shortening site. It can be tricky working out the ATS linking system with long urls (paste it into the [url=xxxx] area and it will work on here.

I think that the Taliban likely took many areas then loaded on trucks heading for Kabul and not leaving a holding force behind.

Seems a battle has taken place at the valley entrance. Around 8 taliban dead and the same amount injured.

No friendly(more friendly than the Taliban anyway) casualties reported.

Let's hope they keep up the good fight against the taliban.

Lotta afghan spec ops, that never surrendered went to this valley, I am not sure the Taliban have the guts or guns to take it without outside help .
