A gift to China

I am in the UK

A young lady from China came to help out in our church for a year, which is now coming to an end.

She will be missed as she has been a good addition, especially as it's been a rubbish year - persecuted in China, comes to the UK, gets locked down, gets locked down again, long way from home, can't stay here, and finally her sponsor in the UK dies (also sadly missed).

We would like to give her a practical gift to take back to China. We thought, naively, an Amazon gift card to use as she wishes.

It's a nightmare trying to make sense of the instructions.

So, very simply ATS, how can we give this young lady a cash equivelant gift to take back to China, and where do we get it from?

Can't you just give her cash and she can convert it to yuan either before she leaves or after she arrives?

Since she is going back to China,you need to find out what
they will allow her to have first.I wouldn't count on it being
a cash gift.

Why not just buy her a gift that she can remember you all by , money is nice but it's soon gone and forgotten.
