Server hacked, emails forwarded to, at the time, unknown actors.

Damn right people should go to prison. Nobody at the FBI ever even saw the server, let alone examined it. Instead, they let CrowdStrike -- who was on the DNC's payroll -- examine the server and then the FBI just took Crowdstrike's word as gospel. Yeah, that's above-board.

You're confusing the DNC server 'hack' with the Clinton email server 'hack'...

Two similar, but completely different events.

Then you can show us the independent analysis of the servers in question? Better yet you can show us the law enforcement lab analysis of the servers.

Oh, wait...

Read the excerpt from the email again.

"Further, a May 2016 email from Strzok, obtained by Fox News earlier this year, said “we know foreign actors obtained access” to some Clinton emails, including at least one “secret” message “via compromises of the private email accounts” of Clinton staffers."

What's actually being referred to, and what has been long known, is that at least one user had their email password phished. This is not the same thing as the server itself being compromised.

Sorry, but that does not say 'phished'.

It says 'compromised accounts'. As one who has hosted/managed numerous email systems for myself and others, that could easily mean the accounts were compromised at the server level, and in fact, that is what is meant when they refer to the code that automatically forwarded all messages from certain specified accounts to any desired external account.

Postfix has an always_bcc feature that makes this trivial, and other SMTP servers have the same feature.
