Great idea. We need to exspose the gun fetishists for the minority, and mental defectives they are. a reply to: shawmanfromny

I'm sick of gun violence too. We already have tough gun laws in New York state, so why implement something that's borderline unconstitutional? Gun owners aren't criminals, unless you agree with the "guilty" until proven innocent mentality of Liberals. I don't want the government to do background searches on any American citizen.

So now gun violence is an acceptable term aga8n apparently.
When I use that in a thread the nutters lampoon me for spreading propaganda so hopefully they come in to do the same to you

On topic I don't like the idea of our # online being used against us but at the same time I think there should be other criteria besides being of age and not a felon.
Not sure if this is it but if it helps weed out cowboys then its all good.

Lol at all your crying though. I enjoy that.

There is always a price. Medical mj us legal in my state but if I get my card I can't legally own a gun.
Kind of a bummer.

Can't win them all I guess.

I also love all the quotes from the founders. Always makes me smile when all the armchair scholars post that # then argue it like they have a clue.

# is complicated. Taking civics in high school and reading the federalist papers does not mean you grasp how it works.

That's why there is a supreme court and constitutional lawyers

Keep shedding those tears. I enjoy it

It's actually quite simple.

Guns are power. It's why the robbers carry them; it's why the cops carry them

It's why they don't want you having any guns. They tell you that the 2nd amendment is an anachronism, that you don't need them, etc. But the fact is, they don't want "your people" to have any way to thwart the people with power.

Why do cops carry guns? Because the criminals do.

You are 11 times more likely to be shot as a bystander, by a police officer, than by an armed citizen defending the public safety. 11 times.

Cops are trained to shoot people. Concealed carry license-holders are trained NOT to shoot unless they are absolutely certain.

Funny how we don't hear about License-to-carry holders shooting unarmed black men. It's always the cops. It almost makes it look like the cops are a whole lot more racist as a group, than the gun owners, as a group.

Texas has had CCW/LTC permits for 30 years. And with a MILLION licensees, there have been fewer than 30 gun assaults committed by them. The best indicator that someone WONT commit a gun offense it to train them and license them.

Why do they need your passwords? Are they going to post some nutty gun # on your FB page? they can read your stuff without your passwords. They just want to see what groups you belong to, who your friends are, and then post animal porn in your name.

Gun control is never about guns. It's always about control. Always.

This is from the guy who thinks America is not and has never been great.

Clearly no respect for the failed founding fathers and he's superior.

Wow crazy.
I've always wondered about pistols though. why are they allowed?
Are pistols designed for any other reason than shooting people?
Serious question - not asking for a friend.
Are pistols really made for hunting or are they made for shooting humans?

Easy there guys, christ, you guys took Emmanuels head off here, and I dont think he had any bad intent in his statement.....

Some of you really really need to take a step back sometimes and stop being so damn defensive and hostile......

He has a good point, pistols ARE made more for self defense than long guns, because mostly long guns are used for hunting.......Im not going hunting with my S &W .40......

His point is, if this really WAS about saving people, why wouldnt they go for the pistos first, since they are used more often in gun crime, and their primary purpose and function is personal self defense, and they can be carried concealed.....

If im not wrong here, his point was this is all just smoke and mirrors.......

Just another chip off our 2nd until they chip it all away

Pistols work great, when protecting livestock, in close quarters, like last night, when hubby when to lock the birds (chickens and ducks) down, and the critters were already in the polebarn. (opossum).

A rifle or shotgun might do damage to the barn, or other animals.

So yeah, pistols are handy.

It's ridiculous of course. Not only that how could it even be supported, because if it's supported then where does the right of privacy end? Driving? Having children, etc? Imagine sites such as this, if you link into FB, Twitter, etc. to them with your name, and even if not sharing ATS itself, it will be on your search history.

It goes right along with this BS:

NY 2020 Presidential Candidate Wants a China-Like Social Credit System
A 2020 Democratic candidate for President named Andrew Yang, a New York businessman, has a plan for doling out social credits. It is similar to communist China’s social engineering system of social credits.

Then comes the facial recognition grid, already making it's way around;

Your Favorite Stores Could Be Tracking You With Facial Recognition
According to a report from McClatchy DC, many stores are turning to a California-based company called FaceFirst for their facial recognition needs. When reached for comment, FaceFirst said it could not list its clients to Racked because of “customer NDAs and confidentiality agreements.” In a promotional video on its website, though, FaceFirst says its retail clients include big-box stores, department stores, grocery stores, and pharmacies, and that it works with many Fortune 500 companies.

In China, for example if you throw some trash on the sidewalk and the recognition files you in the database that registers as a minus on your social credit score.

You earn these DSCs by “volunteering at a shelter, coaching a little league, helping at a town fair, tutoring, watering a neighbor’s plant, bringing in someone’s mail,” and so on. There would be rewards and a running tally of unspent social credits you can cash in for tickets to a ball game or meeting with a government leader or securing help fixing your garage door. All this is explained on Yang’s presidential campaign website.

As the ACLU wrote in its report on facial recognition technology in retail, even shoppers who feel such security is beneficial should at least be made aware of it — especially considering that since the technology is so new, there is little regulation.
Source - Racked
The ACLU asked the 20 biggest US stores to release if they use facial recognition. The findings were shared.

Oh and Bloomberg is probably already ramping up funds for other states to have it pushed as well along with what he's already funding:More than 12 states
