Yeah, he's crazy... but he has a lawyer. If there's someone else involved, the lawyer will bring it out. That's kinda what they do, try to gt their clients off.

I'm willing to wait until we hear more to make that leap, although I'm also not ready to say it isn't a distinct possibility just yet.

You never know with crazy guys. The Unibomber made his lawyer's life seriously difficult by refusing to plead insanity. To this day he insists he is not insane.

If this guy's sense of identity requires him to play a central or inflated role in the things he participates in, he's going to want to step right past his lawyer use the court as a forum to tell everyone how important he is.

Here is his track record so far:

"Sayoc had worked in recent years as a pizza delivery driver. He claimed in a 2014 deposition that he had been a manager at a strip club called “Stir Crazy,” owner of a dry-cleaning store, a pro wrestler, a Chippendales dancer, a professional soccer player in Milan, and an arena football player in Arizona.

[Analysis: The mail-bomb suspect’s van, annotated]

That work history, though, seems to have been inflated. Chippendales denied he was ever affiliated with the company. He also told co-workers that he was an American Indian from the Seminole tribe, that he lived on the reservation, and that he had done work for the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla. But the Seminole Tribe of Florida, Seminole Gaming and Hard Rock International said they could find no evidence to support that. His cousin said Sayoc’s father is Filipino and his mother is Italian."

"His finances deteriorated to the point that he filed for bankruptcy in 2012, saying that he had just $4,175 worth of assets. But he still struck an outward posture of success. During a 2014 deposition in a labor lawsuit between a DJ and the owners of a South Florida nightclub, Mr. Sayoc boasted that he had played professional soccer for A.C. Milan in Italy and arena football in Arizona. He also claimed he owned a dry-cleaning business and was studying to be a veterinarian.

He was the kind of guy who was maybe sweeping floors at Apple, but would tell you he and Jobs invented the computer together,” said David M. McDonald, a lawyer in Miami who represented the nightclub owners in the labor dispute."

Yeah. He's going to be quite a handful for his lawyer.
