I gave condolences to my employee today. My employee said his death was expected. He almost died last year. He has had a couple heart surgeries. He has been ill for awhile. He and his wives ranch in southern Cali is beautiful. Ive seen several pictures. My sons were invited to meet him sometime a few years back. His wife is beautiful, and kind of bashful, from the pictures Ive seen. Very pretty too. He was her whole world

Never had the will to meet an actor. The few I have met have been overly pretentious and fake (surprise, surprise). Ermey seemed different. Must have been an honor.

It was by suprise he was there.. just happen to see he was...( walking by at random looking around )
Humbled he seemed. Like i said, down to earth and the most gentle handshake. He seemed more honoured to meet us 2 firefighters. Wanted to know the whats and why we chose our career path in life. Did we have kids... what kind of motorcycles did we have... is Primanti Brothers close by... will I have the privilege of seeing you 2 at the airport later for a quick tour..

Goosebumps I have now..

Original untouched photo .... 😁

Edit: met a few celebrities in my career... mostly work related. Most are ridiculous. But some are real folks like you and I 😊

Man, I'm glad you posted that second pic, I was worried an ATS'er was about to end-up on an Ebaums photoshop-fail feature!

"Today you people are no longer maggots. Today you are Marines. You're part of a brotherhood. From now on, until the day you die, wherever you are, every Marine is your brother. Most of you will go to Vietnam. Some of you will not come back.

But always remember this: Marines die, that's what were here for! But the Marine Corps lives forever. And that means YOU live forever!"

I was just prowling around IMDB a bit.

He was credited in 124 different roles from kids cartoons to serious movies like Purple Hearts, and Full Metal Jacket.

A lot of voice acting too for video games.

I had no idea.

His biography is just as impressive.

Quite the man. His poor wife, can't imagine how lost she feels with him gone.
