The Command Ship , the Tech 2 version of the battlecruiser, is very effective at providing bonuses to an entire fleet, wing, or squad.
for this Guide I will be showing you the Eos, although the mechanics work for all faction's respective command ships. In this guide i will show you how to get the maximum bonuses to the fleet, and how to maximise your armor tank.

A Command ship uses warefare link modules as well as low slot fittings for the armor tank. In this picture it shows the gears i use on my eos.

My Eos uses sentry drone to take down enemies, and some of the armor modules may be replaced with drone damage amplifiers, as well as the drone link augmentors can be replaced with railguns or blasters, it all depends on how you want to play. one of your capacitor rechargers can be replaced with a microwarp drive.

To be Good with the Command Ship, you will need to train alot of your skills to level five. These include
Armored warefare
Seige warefare
Information warefare
skirmish warefare
Battlecruisers

As well as to maximise your bonuses you will want
Warefare link specialist
Cybernetics
Armored(or whichever preffered doctrine) warefare specialist

You need the two latter skills to use something called the Armored warefare Mindlink
(or you can go for seige, skirmish, or information.)

after you learn all the skills (which it takes over 70-80 days to learn a commandship, it takes even longer to max it out)
you can have a list of bonuses that will look something like this.

its reccomended to use the ship that benefits from a warefare doctrine the most, for example the eos is a gallente ship and works well with armored warefare, but other factions have their respective ships for the job, like sheild boosting instead of armor.

you will be a tough to kill SOB with resistances like the following:

Once your getting good at command ships you can fly around and be a warefare booster! everyone will appreciate getting bonuses from a bonefied leadership pilot. I really like the aura it recieves when the modules are on.

if you have any questions about command ships in the game eve online, just ask in the thread here and i will try to answer any questions.

I love watching videos on youtube of massive battles, ive tried twice to get into eve online, game looks awsome but seems too time consuming to really enjoy.

Thanks for sharing with us.

Thanks for the guide, I am just training these skills at the moment. Command ships are the last ones I cannot pilot yet from my race (Minmatar) including the Titan. Going at 90M skill points and no end in sight for maxing out on skills.

Reply to dukeofjive696969: Yeah, the game is pretty time consuming and quite complex, depending on what you want to be doing. Just saying, the learning curve is pretty steep. Been on for years and still haven't touched every aspect of the game.

This!

I do the same with Eve. After playing many time consuming mmos I just can't do it anymore.

I would love to know the game real well. I have heard it has a rather steep learning curve to it.
