Iran's Guardian Council has admitted that the number of votes collected in 50 cities surpass the number of those eligible to cast ballot in those areas.
The council's Spokesman Abbas-Ali Kadkhodaei, who was speaking on the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) Channel 2 on Sunday, made the remarks in response to complaints filed by Mohsen Rezaei -- a defeated candidate in the June 12 Presidential election.

This was a case of classic ballot stuffing. A trick the Russians taught the Iranians how to pull off.
Ahmadinajed ballots were put into the boxes, and there was the usual shenanigans of Mousavi ones getting miscounted, lost, etc.
Not hard to fix an election when you are in power. Power is not in the the hands of the voter, it's in the hands of the vote counter.
It is possible Ahmadinajed actually did win if the real numbers were known.
He receive 61% of the vote in the 2005 election. He has tremendous support among the ordinary country people, while Mousavi is favoured mainly by the Westernized student and professional class.
Khameini panicked, made sure the fix was in, and declared a winner too soon, with non-credible results.
That can't be undone and may have been a mistake that changes Iranian history.

This power struggle IMHO could go in favour of rafsanjani or khamenei. Will getting rid of khamenei be enough for the people though, or do they want revolution.

1 big thump up for this presstv.ir that is not scared to ONLY relay information:
one time about the premeditation (those that called from propaganda must review their position there),
one time about the election fraud
if our MSM could follow the example,
because that's exactly how we like media to be: no opinion, just information backed and sourced, whatever the consequences.
and the terrible conclusion that it implied : iran media may well have much more editorial freedom than western one.
and from that i guess we can extrapolate to say that western "democracies" need a revolution at least as much as iran does.
