Can't argue with that really, too early yet for my favourite Smiths track

Why too early? To be honest I don't think there is a single Smiths track that I don't like! My love affair with The Smiths started 26 years ago and it's never left me.......

Not the 90's but .....

Cos my favourite Smiths track is not very upbeat, I usually save it for bed time

That was sweet that. Nice.

Well I wouldn't build it up. You'd be disappointed to be honest. I'll just stick it on now that'll save me doing it later

I remember when I first watched this video uploaded by this particular youtube member. I had already heard this song a million times...but the description they gave along with the song as haunted me ever since....

Illustrating The Smiths at their darkest emotional ebb, Asleep is as beautiful as it is ghastly; a song of assiduous despair, it is the harsh and authentic clamour of the human soul at its most nihilistic....

I'm not disappointed at all! First off The Smiths never disappoint me......and exactly as the user describes, it is as beautiful as it is ghastly. It's a regular on my playlist.....

Another of my fave Smiths...of which there are many!

Yeah 'ghastly' is very much relative to the listener I'snt it? I find it beautiful so, whatever. Just personal taste I guess hehe.

I think that's were a lot of my friends don't "get" my obsession with The Smiths. They just see them as depressing songs with depressing lyrics. But I see beauty in a lot of their lyrics....maybe we are just wired up differently? LOL

Same here tbh. I gave up trying to educate them. My friends have really poor taste in music but that's their life, I honestly did try to help. Not my loss haha.
