Bore da pobol.....

Guess what I stumbled accross on my way here? A quiz to determine which fairytale animal you are...

www.quizony.com...

Guess I should have known being Welsh I would be one of these....

You are
Dragon

While some might be intimidated by your strength and power, your abilities give you the courage and ability to face even the toughest situations. Whoever has you for a friend is lucky indeed.

Rainbows
Jane

Apparently.. this is my fairytale self...

You are Gnome You can appear rough on the outside, and have trouble knowing how to help, but those who know you find you a steadfast and loyal friend.

I can understand you getting cheesed off after half a year of it, but you have to understand, winter gets going and then quits here, just as things are getting interesting. That has certainly been my experience here in the Thames Estuary anyway. We get a foot, maybe two for a little while, and then it melts. Even up in Scotland they get more, and it's only a handful of hundreds of miles from here. But even there, winter can be a little wishy washy for my tastes. I like blizzards so violent that thunder and lightning issue forth from the clouds, even as spears of ice are driven hard into faces and bodies, the sort of weather that kills you dead unless you are wearing thermal under layers and most of a dead animal at minimum, as well as your regular garb.

We have had three winters since I reached adult hood, which provided more than a single day of that stuff, and that is BORING as hell, let me tell you. Also, because our local government could not organise a crap slinging match in a sewer hub, the buses stop running, the trains fail, and the roads are not gritted for the first week at least, so the slightest snow fall, as pathetic as it might be, renders everything ceased.

Except me. I trudge, and march, through the worst we see here in the Southend borough. We did not get ANY of it this year. We got sleet. Slushy, pointless sleet, and temperatures which struggled to dip below freezing. This winter was very much like Loki in Avengers Assemble... It lacked conviction.

I feel cheated too, six months of autumn, wtf is that all about. I don't need any excuses to be late though, I turned up a week late to an appointment last week.

The lighter evenings will be OK after a while I suppose, I just need to think about setting a caffeine alarm. I've noticed the lighter mornings too, just before I drop off.

Dawg, I absolutely HATE humidity, it's normally between 80 - 100 % here, I've forgotten what it's like to breathe.

Hiya Gordi! Welcome home. How have you been?

[[[[[Jacy]]]]] darlin'

I am so sorry about Stinky.

But I have to say that I am very grateful to have had the pleasure of hearing about her adventures with you and Sophie!

She was well loved and well cared for, and will now be sorely missed. Who could ask for any more?

Thank you for bringing her into our lives, even for the short time that we came to know her.

I am smiling, just imagining all the shenanigans that you guys got up to... and the trouble she'll, no doubt be getting into, right now on the other side of that bridge!

I (in the past) have lost a very close pet too, and it hurts like hell. I was actually there petting him when the vet put him to sleep. Chrissie and I were just talking the other day about the state of our remaining parents!! and how... If they were pets we would have had to put them down too!!!

My thoughts and hugs are with you and Sophie.

Oh I have traveled the world. But six months of winter is...how do you say it? Oh yea! BORING!

Maybe I'm getting old, but I welcome spring this year. And am already looking forward to fall. My two favorite seasons. But thank Dawg that winter is finally over here. Weather wise, there has been entirely to much teasing going on.

You're cruel, you know that?

If I forget my flight you'll just have to have another gathering the next week. I might book a spare flight just in case.

Dawg, meh, you wouldn't like this weather. The girl next door has been having loud parties with all her scantily clad friends. There's no way they need to apply that much sunblock to each other. And what's with the hose pipe fights? I swear, if I get another bikini part thrown over the fence I'll scream. You would hate British spring, I'm sure.

Don't worry M'Lady...I'll be honored to cover up their dastardly deeds by using my own body.

But to be truthful though, I never had a bad day while visiting the UK, even Scotland. I always thought the weather, like the people to be quite pleasant.

Jacy, from one who hates to hug. This is one time I wish I could give you one in person. (((HUGS))) and a shoulder to cry on. I know it's not much, but it's all I can do at this time.

I'm sure that I can honestly say for every one on this thread, we all hate to loose our furry friends, but that we all appreciate that they were in our lives nonetheless.

In the long run, our fuzzy buddies makes us all better people. Take your time to grieve and remember, we'll be here in your "Shed" awaiting your return.

Jacy, I did fear for the worst when you first posted about Stinky but held on to some hope. When an animal refuses to eat, it is usually a very bad sign. But...you have had the honor of being her Mom, of sharing much love and your life with her and she loved and appreciated you surely more than words could ever say.

My deepest sympathy to you and Sophie.

The test says I'm a Unicorn.

"Your life is structured and uncomplicated. Your friends look up to you as an example of moral purity, and your character leaves a long-lasting impression of majesty with all who come in contact with you."

OK...that's nice, but all of the answers are nice. It doesn't really reflect me. But I would say that if I were a Unicorn, this pic would reflect me and ruin everyone's perception of Unicorns forever.
