4 dolphins in New Zealand continued to swim around four simmers on Tuesday after a nine foot great white shark started swimming toward the group. One of the swimmer's started to drift away from the group but two of the bigger dolphins went to him to herd him back into the group so they could protect them from the shark.

"I just recoiled. It was only about 2 m away from me, the water was crystal clear and it was as clear as the nose on my face," Howes said, referring to a distance of 6 feet.

"They had corralled us up to protect us," he said.

Dolphins blow my mind, there is something about them I can't quite put my finger on, their just magestic and enchanting mammals, which gives humans and dolphins something in common.
