Love is a Ghost
-------------------

It moves into the house
that is your soul.
Haunting you.
An occupant, perhaps not invited
But welcomed, comforted.

Manifested by another,
given over to you
to share.
That kind of haunting
Is rare.

Living with you.
on you,
in you.

Care for this ghost.
For now it is yours.
For now.
For you, to nurture.

And if you return in kind
A ghost
to another.
Remember it's blind.
They're made to overlook
Your faults,
those weaknesses.

Thoughts, not always your own
but of the ghost that haunts you now.
You see in the other, a glow.
Beaming at you,
into the window of the house
that is your soul.
You see your ghost
in them.

The one you have haunted.
yes, they see the same.
A light from you, only you.
Light, locked to light.
Your ghosts dance, in this blinding light.
They can feel the warmth.

Yet the light soon fades.
From blinding, to a candle flame.
But when love is a ghost,
That haunting warmth can remain.

Yup.

That moved me.
