When current federal spending is over 2.2 trillion dollars there is already mass wealth redistribution happening.

www.usdebtclock.org...

The American republic has endured for well over two centuries, but over the past 50 years, the apparatus of American governance has undergone a radical transformation. In some basic respects—its scale, its preoccupations, even many of its purposes—the U.S. government today would be scarcely recognizable to Franklin D. Roosevelt, much less to Abraham Lincoln or Thomas Jefferson

n 2010 alone, government at all levels oversaw a transfer of over $2.2 trillion in money, goods and services. The burden of these entitlements came to slightly more than $7,200 for every person in America. Scaled against a notional family of four, the average entitlements burden for that year alone approached $29,000.

online.wsj.com...

And some people think we need more of it ?

Oh, hell no we don't.

All wealth redistribution is a slighter hipper rap of corporate fascism.

Rob from the rich, give to the have nots so they can go out and buy more corporate products.

meh.

So you think the 1% are hurting too much as it is? Neo, look inside yourself. You're too smart to be this ignorant.

And there, ladies and gentleman, you have it. You're either a Christian Conservative Capitalist or a Communist Socialist Pagan. No in between. No shades of grey. Because as we all know, everything is black and white.

GD right I am which is why I don't buy what is being peddled in this thread.

But hey keep on trucking about them 'evil 1%'.

After 100 years of Americans continually hearing about it, maybe someone will be dumb enough to believe it.

Feel free to quote that word for word.

Yeah it is GD black and white.

'Someone can't stick their hands in your wallets, but have no problems doing the same thing to someone else.

Of course this country does have property rights, and where the RIGHTS of the minority are protected.

And NO MATTER effing what no one is 'entitled' to someone elses money.

Now back to arguing rob from the rich, and give to the poor so they can' go out and buy more 'stuff'.

Neo, it sounds like this communist manifesto you speak of is a great evil in your mind? It certainly sounds evil. I know I wouldn't want to be associated with such a thing.

Do you have a label I can use for the 1% vs 99%? Something that sounds mentally ill, broken, and terribly wrong?

What is your label for 1% controlling 99%?

See, I never wanted to keep playing once it was self-evident who had won. There was no more point, and I never made up schemes to keep gaming them into it.

But to me, I learned early on that the point was playing the game, not necessarily the winning. I wanted to play and play well, and if that got me a win, so much the better, and if not, then at least I knew I played the best game I could.

But with monopoly, the winner is the person who takes it all. Becoming the single ruler, taking everything from everyone, is the only way that game ends. This is a bad thing.

I think winning is a great goal... but it should be where we ALL win. Through co-op. There can be some more powerful than others... Some who are lowly grunts getting down and dirty in the thick of it, but all working together... and the most powerful players making sure that everyone is well stocked with food and health. So we can all win together.

So, you play a team sport if you are so uncomfortable with the concept of winner take all.

Monopoly is not the only game in the world. I played many others and winning was the goal in all of them. Some were singular, winner take all and some were team oriented.

You aren't going to fix things by banning winner take all games.

Or is it the idea that if someone, or a team of someone's wins, then someone else has to lose that bothers you?

Not evil 1% -- MENTALLY ILL 1%. Mentally F'd in the head to put themselves above an entire country, to bend laws to their will, to force the peons to send their peon children to die in wars that benefit their 1% status. All the while saying they don't have enough.

Neo, you need to be aware that you have become the poster child for ignorance on these boards. Your views always flawed, like a dark Jedi, always filled with hate and anger. You are an example people use to describe a closed mind.

You really really need to open your eyes, you may find one day you are the Nazi you hate.

Considering the current state of the union where that evil 1% is currently paying for most of the social programs in this country.

Why ?

Because people want free stuff that created the largest corporate fascism this country has ever seen.

IT has created the WELFARE INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX that accounts for over 2/3's of current federal spending.

But wait it gets better.

Printing money out of thin air still doesn't cover the WANTS of the majority.

Borrowing money from other countries still doesn't cover the WANTS of the majority.

Raising taxes on that evil rich STILL doesn't cover the money being currently spent on the MAJORITY.

Hell the same people who champion wealth redistribution got a BIG ARSE shot in the arm with the creation of that MYRA bollux.

But hey whatever the evil 1% is the problem, and we need more of the same asinine ideology.

Do you have a label I can use for the 1% vs 99%? Something that sounds mentally ill, broken, and terribly wrong

If you want to perpetuate the same demagogic bubbles, that LGBTS, and Gun Owners know all too well.

Your perrogative.

ALL i see is this thread is more of the same people worshiping at the alter of demagoguery.

This is what irks me with some people, why should we all win? Should we all be winners even if we don't deserve it or earn it. Who chooses the losers? You?

They aren't the problem the problem is greed, and regulation. We think politics has something to do with anything? Its about the people who run the politics and the people who allow them.

Period.

This is true.

The greed of the PEOPLE that creates regulation that is the leading cause of job destruction, and wealth destruction.

More of it is why the so called poor are getting poorer,.

That so called 'income inequality'.

People need to face the GD facts of the last 100 years people are worse off NOT better off, and it is primarily due to 'Wealth redistribution'.

And the rest of the world increasing their standard of living.

The root cause ?

Those people who believe in the 'wealth redistribution''

I guess some people would rather the rest of the world stays in the 3rd world status.

The world has too many mouths to feed, and there aint enough soup to go around.

But hey take that money from the 1% they are the cause of everything wrong with this county.

The people are the first, and only enemy.

I posted in another thread about this same thing, so to save time I will just drop a link here and copy/paste. I will never understand how people feel entitled to other people's belongings. Ever.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

This line of thinking is becoming more popular by the day, yet most who espouse it never bother to put themselves in the "Rich Man's" shoes.

Imagine being born dirt poor. You work hard, you study hard, fate smiles down on you and gifts you with the ingenious idea of a self wringing cat bikini. You gamble your house, your savings, and the beginnings of your children's college funds to make this prototype in hopes of selling it for ( que Dr. Evil's voice here) 1 Million Dollars.

The panel loves it and agrees to go into production with you. QVC smells a winner and gives you an hour long spot to do your thing. The self wringing cat bikini explodes and they can't keep it on the shelves. You are suddenly living like Scrooge McDuck and swimming in your massive amount of income. You are forever thankful. You remember what it was like to be so poor but you worked hard for what you wanted and IT PAID OFF.

The doorbell rings... Who is that you ask? It's the meth addicted homeless man from down the street who beat his wife to death 15 years prior. He never had a work ethic in his life. He fathered child after child and never paid support. He steals from your neighbors to support his habit since he has no income of his own. Matter of fact he has never had a source of steady income the state did not provide. While you were working your arse off, he was sleeping till noon, knocking up every girl he could find, and sucking the system dry. What on earth could he want?

YOUR MONEY... Now give him half of it and be ok with that.

Why cant we encourage healthy competition vs unhealthy competition?

My definition of unhealthy is destroying the species, and the planet. My definition of healthy is improving life for everyone and advancing culture and thought throughout the world so we really appreciate the gift the universe has given us with life rather then spitting it back in its face destroying it.

How about that for an answer?
