True.

But we did have a prior president, while trying to become vice president, have americans held hostage in iran to help win the election.

Id like to think LBJ was the first real bastard president. But I suspect it happened long before.

S&P wasn't the only one to consider a downgrade, but they were the only ones to actually enact a downgrade.

It's obvious to anyone with half a brain that the US bond market is nothing but a global Ponzi Scheme!
I can't understand why S&P would through a wrench into the global scheme but it has! As for the
US getting back any credibility I don't think this is a possibility! I realize the administration needs to
put on a good show for those with a vested interest in maintaining this illusion of a solvent US bond market!
Though IMO this is just for the unknowing Tom, Dick and Mary but for the rest of us the real question is
when is this train going to derail! Though I can't say for sure with any certainty, I expect we are running out
of track and barreling full speed towards the end of the line but only the big players placing down the rails
know where this is! I expect that the shadow government will do whatever they can to keep this going but
when that day comes that there is nothing left that they can do and too much for them to lose they may go as
far as to WAG THE DOG! God help us if this ever goes down!

Well that's effed up!

S and P getting sued for stating the obvious that the US is a bad credit risk.

Especially the current administration.

I see the 'full weight of the current government' at work that doesn't worship at the alter of the current messiah complex.

If I remember correctly, the S&P downgrade was the result of the Obama administration and congress not being able to reduce the national debt. Also, it is not the only organization that was for downgrading the government's rating. Smells real fishy. Makes Christi's little scandal seem like a spit in the bucket.

Fast and Furious, Bengazi, NSA, IRS, Obama's official identification papers . . . Just one more episode waiting for the papers. Shall we guess the outcome.

Not quite. It was due to the completely irresponsible attitude towards the debt. The gridlocked congress is what really caused it. What investors want to see is a slow and steady increase in debt with a plan in place to pay for it. They got anything but that. The real shock is that the other agencies DIDN'T downgrade.

I wouldn't call it evil, but I must admit, their petty vindictiveness is transparent!

OMG
, WTF
Obama has Kept a Campaign Promise,,, Yes, Folks he has, Remember when he said, his Administration would be TRANSPARENT!

Well, It Is,,, Transparently Evil and Vindictive

Yes, it's as plain as the nose on your face.
Like beezer said and I quote:

Belong to the Tea Party?
Get denied status by the IRS.

Palin family?
Audited 6 times in the past 6 years.

An administration of lies, secrets, obscurity has once again shown itself to be vindictive, petty and very small.

that's One Campaign Promise that he's Really Kept and for all to see.

For a moment there I thought the Gov. was suing S&P for the downgrade!

Apparently they are suing them for the fraud they engaged in when they rubber stamped bogus derivatives leading to the housing crisis and our near financial collapse...

From Forbes..
Standard and Poor's Lack Of Integrity Will Be Exposed
www.forbes.com...

I am having a hard time finding my teeny violin for S&P.

Try an audit every year that you work for the IRS. No point there... democrat, republican, doesn't matter. An audit every single year. No different than the Palin family.

Me too. It would seem that the Obama administration is finally doing something right for a change and still everyone complains. If Obama would go after more of the schysters and Wall Street banksters that caused the economic collapse - I might actually change my opinion of him and his administration.

Maybe everyone leaving these negative comments needs to do a little more reading before automatically jumping on the
"Obama is vindictive" bandwagon. Clearly, there is good reason for this legal action. And that is an understatement, IMO.

This is what complete failure's does when they know how badly they have failed and have the power of the POTUS and the DOJ.

I am sure this is only the beginning.

C+ is pretty generous. I give him a D- and only because of No Child Left Behind which gives us a financial incentive to not give him an F.

I liked a lot of Obama's rhetoric in 2008 when he was running and even in 2012 it sounded good though we knew it was all just a lie by then. Other than health care though he hasn't actually attempted to pass he campaigned on. Most politicians atleast try, and then give up claiming obstructionism. Obama outright changed his platform and has passed laws in support of the policies he said he would end.

Wagging the dog. How utterly NOT surprising. This isnt just Obama though.. even with the buck stops here idea. Its the whole damned administration. Both the repubs and dems are what youd call Amico Nostro in this government. The rest of us? Doesnt matter if they worship and pray to Obama.. the govt is coming heavy for THEM too. WHen theyre robbing ya, theyre not separating folks into 2 lines.. one for pro Obama and one for Anti. They even have the gall and balls to try to intimidate the S&P.. its like the mafia wars during prohibition. Same tactics.. just a little updated, more disposable money and better armed.
