One. State and Local Subsidies to Corporations. $80 billion

Two. Direct Federal Subsidies to Corporations. $100 billion

Three. Federal Tax Breaks for Corporations. $200 billion

Ten Examples of Welfare for the Rich and Corporations

These are yearly figures.

When we are cutting food stamps, unemployment benefits, attacking social security and medical...

Who's going to save us from corporate welfare. We need to publicly fund our elections and repeal this 'money is speech' nonsense.

Happy Monday...

Hell, read up on HSBC and it's active money laundering for south american drug cartels.....and what they did to get away with it. That'll turn your stomach in a heartbeat.

Every smarmy talking head politician is just a "company advisor" in training or a bored millionaire looking for something to do less than 100 days out of the year.

I think more money is given to campaign contributing corporations than to people in need. Look at all of the contracts the government gives out for anything to road construction to economic development grants. Add all this up then export the factory jobs, retaining the service oriented jobs. It makes us more dependent on the big corporations and the government.

Not much we can do about it anymore, and they know it.

Yet demand Companies pay their Employees a living wage and watch the outrage...

In-spite of the fact that we the tax payer subsidize the under payed employed of these companies through their employees welfare benefits.

Companies get away with low wages and treating people like crap in part because of the welfare programs in place, we have created a system that rewards PROFIT above all else at the cost of this Nation and its People.

Why stop there? Just read up on HSBC's overall history and you may actually need your stomach pumped.

Who's going to save us from corporate welfare.

No-one is going to save anyone from corporate welfare except ourselves.

Corporations will continue to fleece and leech off taxpayers as long as we let them. They are owned and operated by criminals, and aided and abetted by corrupt politicians and governments.

There will soon be no jobs to be had except at corporations. All the stores we buy from will be owned by corporations. Everything we need to survive will only be available from corporations, they will all own and provide everything.

Cut off their life-lines by not working for them and not buying from them, have nothing to do with them whatsoever. And do it now. Even if it means you have to struggle to get by.

WE are their life-lines. We are their sustenance. Without our co-operation they will die.

Rest In Pieces, you filthy corporations.

Many more travesties will follow as long as the people can't understand what is happening.

Whilst Koch's are programming people to believe apolitical, uneducated, serfs are the problem, they are literally looting the place.

I think those in control openly ridicule the term "Capitalism" as a collection of people ignorant of their own stupidity. In private of course. As Buffet gets senile, he's letting some things slip that are off-script.

Nicely put.

And I must admit that I am truly saddened when I hear the corporate party line parroted by people. Can't they see how they are hurting themselves and other normal people.

I've heard tell, that some people truly believe that if the believe and spread the corporate line that they will wake up rich someday. Kinda like, clicking your heeds three times and going home to Kansas. Really sad.

It's called laissez-faire capitalism, an economic model the US general public and the majority of southern english (in the UK) have been brainwashed into supporting by the only people who benefit.........the tax fiddling millionaires! Sorry that's a bit harsh it's called tax "avoidance".

Seems my original post was 'edited' by the PTB (powers that be) here on ATS. That's discouraging.

For those who would like to know the ten items and what they cost us each and every year, I'll refer you to the article quoted (seems I did that wrong too):

Maybe that will appease the powers.....

I'm not a fan of any welfare. But before we even think about cutting benefits for regular folks we have got to completely eliminate corporate welfare and subsidies. Period.

I am a capitalist. If a business cannot survive without fleecing the taxpayer then it doesn't need to exist REGARDLESS of the service it may provide. There is no justification for using public funds to enrich corporations and individuals of means.

Welfare should be something that comes with stringent rules. Something that can be easy to obtain when needed, but not easily kept for ridiculous amounts of time. I, even as a capitalist libertarian, believe it is possible to help people with public funds and have no problem paying the taxes necessary to do that. I do NOT believe in taxing my earnings for the sake of maintaining a dependent population.

I do not share that sentiment about corporations and the rich however. NEVER should a corporation or the wealthy receive taxpayer money to line their pockets. EVER.

Cant we just shoot all these bloated Mother barstids and start over with a humane and just society?
Whats stopping us?
The writing is on the wall....we are heading for a dumbed down anthill society, which will be maintaining an iron grip on the minds and will of our children....
Do YOU want your progeny to suffer such a fate?
Its comming as sure as hell.......surely everyone with an ounce of common sense can see the trends......
Fight them now, or comply with them later in a mind controlled and static society where the rich elite are the only FREE people left on the planet.

Food stamps themselves are corporate welfare. Even though people get food, the money goes right into the coffers of groceries and the corporate products they buy. People "on" food stamps in the U.S. have a card that they swipe, and any money changing hands is money deposited directly into corporate accounts.

How about this one. I was just creating a post using this example at the same time you were creating this one.

"Obamacare is projected by the Congressional Budget Office to funnel $1,071,000,000,000.00 (that’s $1.071 trillion) over the next decade (2014 to 2023) from American taxpayers"

Insurance companies were NEVER going to lose anything or else this would NOT have passed. Remember if you will when the Clintons tried to pass Universal Health Care?
They had a fully democratic majority and still couldn't pull it off. It isn't about D's and R's
It's about $$$

It never ceases to astonish me that the right wing Republican conservatives deem billions in bail outs, subsidies with taxpayer money, military contractor corruption, as proper business models and doing business the American way but give a single mother foodstamps or welfare and it's commie/socialist/useless eater Obama voter.

Hypocrites!

A lot of Republicans complain about a poor person getting government aid to help them eat, but never about a rich CEO who receives upwards of 100 million dollars of taxpayer money as a golden parachute as part of a bonus because they wrecked the economy.

*****************

That's how many dollars I get in food stamps per month. Who wants me to show how many dollars the guy with the $150 million bail-out got? Trick question, cause I'm gonna:

There is 8 million dollars.

And that's only around 100 million going to one person. Not to help them eat, but cause they wrecked the economy and even almost threw the global economy for a loop - in fact the person getting all those Washington's probably also caused food stamps to go up, too!

It's all a distraction to keep you occupied while they bury the truth. That both parties are greedy, arrogant, and useless. Nothing they say is real.
